      Nagal played very well but Arnaldi let him win, the game was totally on his hands, and he mistook very very easy balls.. so he should blame himself, the quarters final this year were within reach of him. But he is still young, his growth is still taking some time, he can absolutely reach the top 15 in a year or so.

      i wanted to watch the long highlights on sony liv but i couldn't find it. an indian player is making statements with these performances but an indian streaming service who have the rights to this tournament aren't uploading them. very disappointed

      let's go bro, first round in Indian Wells, second round in Monte Carlo so far, will be deep in the GSs soon!! What a year for Sumit, hope it gives inspiration to the Indian Tennis team, management and sports authority/ministry. Hope Indian govt pour more resources into Tennis now. They have a great tennis legacy, now time to review the culture of this great sport in a great country.

      Tennis infrastructure is very poor in India. Most clubs have an attitude that tennis is a game of class and never try to find talent from the mass. There are talents of course but in most cases those players are self made and government infrastructure has never been with them. A little bit of support can turn Nagal to Nadal. Vijay Amritraj was the A of ABC…… Amritraj, Bjorg, Connors in the eighties.

      A lot of you on here are pretty young and dont remember Vijay Armitraj from the 70's always a presence. Even some Indian commenters on here are not referencing him and I'm Jamaican born, watched him a lot and Arthur Ashe….Vijay and his doubles partner brother Anand..I think Vijay is in the tennis hall of fame..Top 20 player..a fixture at the majors..
      The Masters 1000 events are very recent..so thats why this a great accomplishment for Nagal as one of the first Indian born players to win a match..but lets not forget the Armitraj brothers, they probably would have won one a match if The Masters series were present back then, a singles match for Vijay and doubles for both. Prakash the son of Vijay does commentary now for Tennis Channel..
