Compiègne | BMX French Cup 3 & 4 | April 2024
This time, I’m taking my son Loïs with me to the French BMX Cup. We stopped off in Lyon at the home of my friend Christophe, a retired BMXer. On the programme: an evening aperitif with a good frozen pizza and a session on the pumptrack at Dommartin with his children. Thanks for a great time!
We’re back on the road, heading north… and the weather’s already turning sour. On Friday evening, we found a spot near a lake, and when we got up it was already getting cold.
First test laps, and unfortunately the track is really poor! On top of that, the wind joined in. Not much fun to ride… And it didn’t fail in the semi-final, where I crashed hard!
I didn’t break anything, but I did lock up my back… which means I’ll be resting for a good week. Fortunately, it’s not all about the race… We still had a great time seeing our friends and chatting at the side of the track.
Now it’s off to rest, train and head for Rock Hill.
