When will A470 be open? Today!

“When will A470 open?” has been the question flooding Bike Park Wales’ inboxes throughout 2024. Today we can finally answer that question as A470 2024 opening date was at lunchtime on Thursday 25th April 2024.

A470 is bike park wales best jump trail. The A470 2024 changes have only improved the already legendary bike park wales jump trail.

A470 is now 30% longer as A470 now runs from the bike park wales start mound, all the way to the main bike park wales fire road.

The 2024 improvements to A470, include a bike park wales new jump trail connecting the bike park wales uplift drop off point to the legendary A470 jump trail that we know and love.

One of the most significant A470 changes by the BPW trail creww in 2024 is the A470 Qualifier, which is now the A470 Gap jump. The A470 qualifier is now fenced in, to prevent people pushing around the feature that is intended to keep riders safe, by checking their skill level before they drop in to the trail.

The BPW A470 new section consists of a small gap jump qualifier, fast berms, some small fun table top mountain bike jumps and some roller doubles. The qualifier is the only mandatory gap.

The incredible BPW A470 main straight remains largely unchanged, with only minor tweaks to each of the A470 jumps.

While I couldn’t make it to the opening due to boring adult responsibilities, James happily stepped in to bring us an exciting track preview of the new A470 at Bike Park Wales (BPW).

Nestled in the stunning Welsh countryside, Bike Park Wales (BPW) is a mountain biking haven renowned for its extensive trail network and thrilling terrain. The park boasts an array of features, including jump trails, flow trails, technical descents, and gnarly downhill tracks, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

A470, BPW’s most infamous jump trail, has undergone a complete makeover for 2024. Extending from the top of the hill adjacent to Vicious Valley all the way down to the fire road, A470 offers an exhilarating descent packed with jumps, berms, and technical features. The trail now features a new section of jumps that provide a fantastic step up for riders who’ve mastered the smaller table tops on Popty Ping. With larger gaps and more technical features, A470 promises an adrenaline-fueled ride like no other.

BPW’s uplift service ensures easy access to the trails, allowing riders to maximize their time on the mountain.
