On this ride, I cycled from Exeter to Honiton. It was a beautiful day weather wise, in fact, the best day of the year so far. I sadly no longer have a MasterMind TCU display, I’m suspecting it may have water damage or it could simply be faulty. My observations are the subject of this ride. So come along and enjoy another great cycling adventure.

    1. Given the age of your bike, I would get in contact with Specialized customer care. The "Turbo" aspect of the Creo SL is covered under a two year warranty (SL1.1 motor and battery) so I would think it is proportionate to believe the Mastermind TCU is also covered due to this being a part only available from Specialized themselves (authorised bike shops will fit it) and not available for purchase elsewhere. The two year warranty is not set in stone, Specialized do have excellent customer care and if you contact them before you attend the bike shop, you should have no problems I would hope!!

    2. I had a moisture problem with my TCU. To be fair, the Specialized guys in Birmingham were super helpful, and they replaced it without a quibble. I've had excellent service from them time and time again. The reason why I decided on the Creo instead of another eBike.

    3. Love your videos and I’m still in miles. I cycle around Bridgwater, Somerset and I don’t know how you put up with all the bleeping from your computer. Is it that loud when riding?

    4. have you tried charging the display with a usb cable as the mastermind can be recharged via its usb port within the display.

    5. Thanks for the tip about the TCU unit. I put some heli tape over it. Looks like rubbish but if it saves it, it's worth it. Will remove it when I know the wet weather is over.

    6. Nice ride. Good thing about Spesh is that they look after their customers, and it looked liked you were riding in 'Dark Mode' anyway😉. And good man for sticking to MPH, all this nonsense about KMPH, just makes em sound good when they say they done a 100 ride, i just reply, you mean 60 right. 🙂

    7. I have the same bike, Creo Expert though-did you check the button battery in the TCU. The TCU does not get its power off the main battery. On wet rides I have wrapped some Saran Wrap around the top tube area of the TCU -that helps.
