Electric cars are way worse for the environment than ice cars . Also climate change is normal.
The PM drives around in petrol/diesel vehicles, but wants everyone else to drive an EV. And an EV is like your phone, after time the charge is useless, this is the same for EV batteries and a new battery is estimated to be about 7k minimum.
I have an ICE car and pulled into a M4 service station last week and witnessed 8 electric chargers all being used and 6 cars waiting to be recharged. Gullible idiots all of them.
I'm sure the insurance for a potential fire risk EV will be sky high and the resale value zero.

I've got a sneaky suspicion that the pollution caused by generating the electricity to power electric cars would equal that of the pollution caused by the equivalent petrol or diesel cars!

One of the new problems to hit battery powered cars is the lack of qualified technicians to work on them. My local garage (they've been trading for 53 years) will not have anything to do with them, and living out in the sticks, it's a very long way to another garage, and then you have to find one that services battery powered cars. I think I'll be sticking with my trusty Toyota petrol powered car + I like my local garage, they're first class👍
It's curious that when you ask an EV owner for an objective appraisal, you never get one. Everything is just dandy.

The trouble is that there are not enough raw materials (like lithium &c) on the planet to make an electric car for everyone who is going to want one, so it's all going to get very interesting later….

I currently lease an ICE vehicle and drive about 100 miles/month. Here in Southern California I can now lease an EV for the same amount of money.
My next lease will be a Tesla, VW ID4, or a Polestar . I'm seventy-four but I see EVs as the future, and want to own one before I die. 😎
