I explore a old Trainline walk where the Severn valley railway city through Stourport towards torton and further in Worcestershire. I look at history and scenery during the video a interesting place where there is still evidence of railway in parts .
history
What is now referred to as the Stourport Branch was the original route of the Severn Valley Railway dating from 1862, connecting Bewdley and stations to the north with the OW&W main line at Hartlebury to the south.

Good video mate 😊
I knew the SVR went south of Kiddy but didn't realise you could walk along it.
Thats a decent bike ride from yours even with an electric bike.
I know this area quite well….. but not this track…… it’s on my list now….. cheers Drew 😎👌🏽
Where you are Standing at the A449 bridge end" the bridge was taken down back in the mid 1980s" because of HGVs hitting it,, It only Travelled 500yrds where it joined the Main Line to Worcester south and Kidderminster North, I can remember very well Class 37s slowly moving along the line" Taking coal to Stourport Power Station back in 1982, Sadly that has all gone and a Huge Housing estate replaces it, At the Wilden end there are some Track bed that you can walk along to the very last Bridge Support on the Worcester Road at Titton Stourport, There you can at Height see the very spot where the Line would of gone into the Huge Power Station in its day, Great clip you have made on the Line" Well done and All the very best,. 💯👌👍
Really enjoyed this video beautiful countryside and wildlife, such a shame we lost so many train lines.
I look forward to the next one thanks Drew
