This summer evening route starts at the Zuger lake near Zug, Switzerland. Upon entering the historic old town, it’s off to the hills, climbing the Zugerberg along the main route, passing the St. Verena chapel along the way. On the way up, enjoy views of the Zugerlake and the nearby mountains Rigi and Pilatus. Hitting the peak, we descend on the other side on a narrow, paved forest road until we reach Schmittli. From there, on via Allenwinden and down into Zug, back towards Oberwil along the lake, in time to enjoy a last view onto lake and mountains in the evening sun.
