Listened to this on the way home tonight. This brought back some memories. Was in Nigel's age group and used to race the winter series at Three sisters Wigan. Dug out some cracking old photos Jumping Wigan whoops. Well done boys cracking episode keep up the great work ❤

What a legned, reckon I'll sitll have an MBUK centre pull out of Nige (on an intense, no doubt) in the garage colleciton somewhere. The nest bit about this chat was that as Nigel talks about being a kid and speccing up his dream bike and doing jumps, Olly (whos my age) says he also did it – and so did i! All those memories are shared. If your into bikes, we are all the same. Brilliant.
Raced Wigan BMX loads of times, My mate had a Torker and I had a PK Ripper! Probably smoked Nigel loads of times but I was in the class 4 years older! ha ha So many memories.
I'm a couple of years older than Nigel, I raced BMX in the North East region back in the day, from 11 to 16 years. They were the best times.
Moto trials took over from 17 years old to present day. MTB for trials fitness and fun since the 2000's. Dabbled in allsorts, XC, trials and ridden a few Enduros.
Ive heard all of your podcasts and this for me is the stand out one by far. It made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I could listen to Nigel for hours. What a lad.
Bikes are just ACE arent they.

Bringing back memories of mid to late 90s ❤ always thought Pagey started racing dh long before I did in 97 (youth) can recall the bikes & riders, Some of the coolest & nicest people, like family away from home racing HAVE IT..🤘

Loved this. Every single minute. Absolutely loved it. All those names Pagey was listing from the UK scene I watched all of them back in the day on Mountain Bike Britain.
Farleton Fell that he mentioned a cancelled DH race at, was where I first went mountain biking, my local hill in south Cumbria.
What a humble fella and his parents sound like absolute diamonds supporting him like that.
