Time to head out of the city and into the countryside! Upcoming plans, the heat, and hills have us choosing the train (or was it the copious amounts of food we ate in ROMA??). We’re excited to explore Tuscany, but first, we have to get there.
Miles Ridden: 7
Total Mileage: 27ish (I still haven’t set up our bike computer haha)
(the bikes will have more time to rest in Tuscany as we explore the region with family and visiting friends…for sure we’ll get in a few little cycle jaunts to local villages tho!)

Just beautiful to see the family together and at the Villa. Thinking of you!
The ticket validation!!
Now I understand you huge amount of heavy stuff you carry on your bike. You spend more time in trains than on the road pedaling.
Oh no i allready cought up!!
So, you can actually travel inside trains in Italy? Do you have to buy a specific ticket for it? The was a Regional Train or long distance? Thank you
LOL, I have had to get to that platform several times… it is WAAAAAAY over there.
Heya great video! Questions for you… we are planning a bike trip to Italy. We read that both the regional and national trains require bikes in bags. I see you didn't use one, so wondering about your insight. We are shopping for the smallest/lightest bike cover bags possible, but it seems ridiculous to carry and also wouldn't protect the bike or anybody if the bike fell anyways 🤷♂️
How long did it take to get from Rome to Tuscany by train?
