I was born in Castleton in 1984 and I know Castleton and the councillors very well as I helped build a water activity centre up in 1998 to 2003 and the cllr that's put the cycle lanes there he money mismanaged catastrophically by hiring more people than the centre could afford then he thought the centre could afford to renovate a empty building to move into a new centre and what happened the centre went bust in 2003
Lol, iam sympathetic,buuut imagine living in wales where not only has the same thing happened but we have 20 mile an hour which has made bus routes shorter amongst many things. Bus routes that have existed since 50s. So due to 30 mile an hour its worse for 'climate change' than before.
The lies they tell, mate of you get anywhere as an independent they will go after you and all yr family.

The anger has been whipped up enormously by the very very active mouthpieces on the local facebook page. Very few of the points raised(and some are valid) are presented in such a shitty fashion online and with very little base, anger is always going to be created. Ps Partington st not Pilkington st. Adding to another local voice, the parking provided is crap….that's being kind. The politician in the meeting didn't state why the shops closed, he did on the fb page, he also has done v little of substance for the village, not everything in the commentary is accurate. Much of what Dave says is true and I have no allegiance to any party/person but for what I believe to be the best for the area, the incumbent is terrible and the proposed of his party are no better.
ELR will not come to Castleton until RMBC abandon their plan to tunnel under the main road to access a Platform behind the present Station. Would cost a fortune.
