  4. Tell me, why is it that brits seem to love rows and rows of houses that all look exactly the same, with no individuality or diversity? Is it a desire for uniformity or conformity similar to having school uniforms? I find it boring and wierd. I expect, however, that it is a case of a builder buying up the land and building an entire street, then selling off the houses as opposed to an owner-occupier buying the land and employing an architect to build a house to his own tastes and requirements.
