one take wonder
Thanks Ben and Francis….don't be sad
I'm glad to see that saddlebags aren't the only way to go when bikepacking!
My wife and I are using normal panniers and racks on our Radon Regard 7.0 gravel bikes this year.
The aerodynamic difference won't really make a difference at the speeds we plan to ride.
However, the comfort and simplicity of the panniers will definitely be more fun to use!
Thanks for showing that mainstream setups are not the only way to have a successful bikepacking vacation!
Greetings from Austria
I really like the Tailfin setup. What I would change would be to use the larger panniers and ditch the rack pack. This should provide close to the same capacity. Because the weight would be lower on the bike, the center of gravity would be lower as well, giving a better feeling of stability. I would also move the top tube bag to the front of the bike. I’m not a fan of handlebar bags but if more capacity is needed I would use one. The bar bag from Route Werks looks to be extremely versatile! All that being said, in the Malaysia videos, he didn’t seem to have any bike handing issues.
That tailfin rack is very nice, a bit spendy for my liking. But the big question is why hasn’t Tailfin rolled out the top tube bag Francis has been using for over a year, that thing is absolutely everything I want and they don’t sell it yet.
That is my favorite frame paint of all time!!!
I loves Ben's Trek frame, if I ever see one for sale in Australia at a affordable price I'm in. Anyways, back to the content, I love that Ben joined in this adventure. It was a highlight of my day to tune in and watch everyone's videos….loved it. Well done guys what a mission c:
