Don't know how the ride round the lake will work, during the rain in January around 100m of the pavement collapsed between the white water run and the regtatta lake, still was like that last week when I was running around it. They hadn't even started fixing it and wouldn't be able to start until we have some good dry weather! Thanks for the recce of the rest of the course.

I rode some of those roads yesterday on the ITP Startline Sportive Leicestershire and found the road surface far better than Derbyshire and yes watch out for gravel

Is it not fully closed roads then? I'm sick of doing triahtlons with traffic. Half the reason for paying should be to be able to race without having to stress about cars trying to kill me.
