Three more days on the ElbeRadWeg, this time from Melnik northwards to Dresden via Litomerice and Decin through what must be considered to be the Elbe Gorge. The scenery was up to anything the Rhine gorge had to offer us the year before but with much fewer people. We went to Terezin, site of the oppressive interment camp of the 1940s, and finished in Dresden, a surprisingly classy city. The whole ride showed us lots of remnants from its communist days.

    1. The only touring I did in that part of Germany was when the wall hadn't fallen yet. Thus Lahn, and the overland trip from NL, and of course Rhein and Donau. That said, I actually liked the whole Hessen area immensely.
