Who invented the first bicycle?
Karl Drais, born on April 29, 1785, in Karlsruhe, Germany, was a German inventor and pioneer in the development of the bicycle.
He is best known for inventing the Laufmaschine, also known as the draisine or velocipede, in 1817.
This early two-wheeled, pedal-less vehicle is considered a precursor to the modern bicycle and played a crucial role in the evolution of transportation.
