    1. I enjoy your videos but they would be even more enjoyable if you gave a history of the areas; how they've changed over the years; the demographic shift. Govanhill used to be Irish, then Jewish, then Turkish, and now Pakistani and Eastern European /Roma. This would be really interesting. Thank you.

    2. Thanks Paul brilliant video an old saying lol don't cast a clout till May is oot thanks again keep driving like the way u tell us Names of the streets drive safe be safe don't let anybody spoil what ur doing till next time

    3. Awwwwww brilliant video bud. Govanhill was one of the areas i used to deliver to years ago. Your wee video has really got the grey matter working again. Thank you so much 👍.

Oh and im a new subscriber ❤

    4. That's the route I used to take from the supermarket back to Bankhall Street. The flat was owned by Govanhill Housing Association who were so rude and patronizing towards their tenants. The flat was damp and I spent two years living in one room at the back of the flat. The man who lived opposite died from damp conditions. Thankfully I got to move to Port Glasgow but the people are not the same as the Glaswegians

    5. Loved the video. Lived there on the 60's, 70's with may parents. Moved from Aitkenhead Rd to Butterbiggins Road in 1970. Used the Govanhill Part for racing the bikes and you passed by my old house at the Butterbiggins Rd Clinic. Lived in the upstairs red sandstone house right at the Ambulance centre opposite where all the new houses replaced the Bus Depot yard. Up Cathcart Road, to Allison St, had a mate lived in Dixon Avenue, had a full size snooker table in the basement , saw the Library building on Calder St and further up the old swimming baths just before Victoria Road. All these streets I knew like the back of my hand, even all the adjoining lanes behind the older buildings back towards the park. I remember Victoria Road being a brilliant shopping area. Up past my old Bank of Scotland heading for the Queens Park gates where my summers were spent . Also had great memories seeing the Queens Park Cafe pub that I played football for when I go to my drinking days. Great memories on this drive and couldn't believe that the Regent Bar was still there on Pollokshaws Road one of my locals. Your drive in the area down Allison Street between Victoria Rd and Cathcart Road took me back to the days when everything started changing in Govanhill, Crosshill and Queens Park area. I wont go into the changes but from my visits back to Govanhill over the years, not the same place now with I believe over 80 languages being spoken ? and not a place to go out at night. Anyway staying positive your drive lifted my spirits seeing all my old streets, houses and pubs. fantastic job mate, subscribed to see where you go next. Top man.
