    1. After being restricted because of the Covid-19 pandemic, during 2020-21, Europe was closed to many travelers. I think people want to get out and breathe the fresh air.

    2. This was fascinating! You really dug deep into the stats from the Pilgrim Office. One thing you didn't get into which would be interesting is what percentage of people walk alone. (Also, how many people start alone but don't finish that way and vice versa.) I hope you can come back and do the Shikoku Pilgrimage again some day.

    3. I know a lot of people, including myself in 2022, put down spiritual instead of no religious so I would get the classic compostela. So the non-religious column is probably a lot higher in reality

    4. I have long wanted to walk the Camino Frances. I hope to be among the American pilgrims either this year or next! Am concerned about coming for Summer/Fall 2024….do you think that the Olympics in Paris will also lead to many people staying in Europe to walk the Camino?

    5. You two are wonderful! It was great running into you in Portugal in April 2023.

Question, you interviewed us on April 21 before heading to Fernanda’s about walking as a couple. How was this information used? Was it helpful?

Thanks again for all that you do.
      Buen Camino!
      👣🎒💞

    6. I really enjoyed this video. It’s amazing to see the explosive growth in popularity! And the increase in global popularity. Thanks for compiling the stats.

    7. Ricky! I woke up with my cup coffee watching your short Selfie vid, 😂😂😂 too perfect funny , u made the start of my day 😂 Aloha , PismoRichy

    8. Thank you for creating these videos, they help me a lot with building my own Camino journey and ease the nerves surrounding it (never done this before). I hope to go this spring and I wish everyone who embarks on the journey all the health and stamina 🧡 Buen Camino 😊

    9. I think if 2024 pilgrims are open to it, they will be able to accept the grace that comes with 2024s rising popularity and bigger numbers. ❤

There used to be 1 million people who did this per year, so the rising numbers are bringing vitality back into an old tradition in this new age, with renewed meaning. How amazing to choose to be a part of that! Buen Camino!

    10. Do you think there are no Catholics in those countries you pointed out? They represent more than 1/5 of the world’s population, and that’s just one denomination of Catholicism. Did you think that by pointing out countries that you don’t think sound Christian that you would be able to destroy the idea of the Christian faith on the Way? No matter how you try, it is not a secular tourist walk. Speaking of denigrating believers and profiting from their sacred traditions, have you gone on Hajj, yet? So long as you falsely wear their symbols and ignorantly do their rites, I’m sure you can get away with being an infidel fouling the spiritual energy of the way.

    11. I went in 2019 and then in 2021. Pre covid and post covid. The differences were staggering gin terms of locations open. ease of travel. and the quality of the people who were on the Camino pre vs post.

    12. I did the Camino de Santiago (From Saria to the Compostela de Santiago) in April 2023. I did it in five days. I am planning to do the Camino De Frances from St. Jean de Pied Port in 2025.

    13. Hi! I will be walking the Camino from the 10th of April, this year. Can't wait to see the beautiful views, although I know there'll be challenges. Thanks for the tips.
