I've reported the twisted ATS to TfL so hopefully it'll be fixed shortly.
So I watched the video and would have done exactly the same thing. Especially if wearing a cycling helmet. You wouldn’t see the lights next to you but would be looking at the one ahead. No way would I uphold any charge of wrongdoing in this instance in a courtroom

A mistake with no real consequences, however if it was motorised vehicle making this mistake he would be straight on reporting it, possibly causing someone to lose their license and livelyhood!

At least once a month, I have seen car drivers go through the red lights at the southern end of Westminster Bridge. They mistake the cyclist green light as one for all traffic. A cyclist will get hurt one day. TfL should lengthen the light cover so that the green is only visible from the cycle lane.

This is so much like my experience of driving in London. There I was, casually trying to jump a line of traffic, you know, just hop around a keep left bollard. when some guy jumped on my bonnet. Quick as a flash, I though, "hello! I can use my car as a weapon here!" and drove off with him on my bonnet. My barrister later helped me remember that I have advanced idiocy and the judge let me off!!
