Hi and thanks for joining us on the channel again.
1st October 2023 saw a slightly earlier “Run leicester festiva” day than usual. This race starts and finishes at Victoria Park, Leicester and that is the case for both the half marathon and the 10k.
Todays video sees me take on the Leicester 10k and showing you guys some of the awesome route along the way.
It wouldnt be run Leicester without the killer hill at the end though…. Will i make it to the finish….. Stay tuned to find out

Did some parkrun tourism at Victoria Park today, really enjoyed it. My Son lives in Leicester, so we’ll be back again.

I Ran there… When I was younger 😅
Nice run and video (especially with lack of sleep, energy etc!). I ran the 10k. And I knew about New Walk, but didn't properly mentally prepare for it. My club mate was telling me on the start line to 'run the course' and essentially get my two fast miles at the beginning (rather than the end), which messed with my head a bit. So I tried it, but I'm not used to it so struggled a bit at mile 4. I ended up finishing just under 50mins, and I'm the guy in the pink top around 18:03 chatting to my mate who was with you at New Walk. A very challenging course and the humidity didn't help, but it was worth doing!
