Just before heading out to Malta, Heather and Mark were presented with a challenge, the first GTN presenter challenge!

Heather Vs. Mark in the format of bike and then run! They had to start on bikes in the medieval city of Mdina, close to the centre of the island. It was then an unsupported race to the finish line at Popeye village, famous for being the set for the 1980 film Popeye.

Other than it being bike then run, with a transition point at Golden Bay they weren’t given any other rules or restrictions.

Check out how they got on, and who came out on top in the first ever GTN presenter challenge!

    1. cool, that you are showing the xterra part, just startet xterra racing myself this year (the duathlon), would not mind, seeing more of that aswell. keep it up, cheers from Denmark

    2. Well now Mark's showing off his MTB skills we need to get him in the mix for the next cross channel MTB race against the Don and Si.

      Not running tubeless though?

    3. I love this channel but don't like topgear style fake af challenges. Don't need artificial drama, music or acting. Id much rather see the odd boring predicable outcome and feel its real than see one fake one and have every other loose a bit of cred. Keep it real! Again: love the channel, watch every video and the how too and tips videos are incredibly useful, thank you

    4. Heathers comment at 5:25, “Is it really mean if I like try and crack on?” Had me rolling! Fantastic content yet again. Really enjoyed watching this one.

    5. Uhm… triathlon participants have to CHANGE clothes when changing between cycling and running? Seems incredibly silly. Maybe if the girl had the kind of shoes that stick in pedals and those are terrible for running, I could understand changing shoes, but all cloths? Cycling and running are too similar to required changing clothes.

    6. Mark falls off the bike for getting carried away… gets carried away jumping the bricks in the run again… good thing he didn't fall again xD
