On April 8, a total solar eclipse is set to pass through parts of Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Andrew Chang explains what makes a total eclipse so special, and why this is likely the only one you will ever experience.

    1. Am So Blessed to see April 8 2024 Total Solar Eclipse With my Eclipse USA Glasses ISO 12312-12 Mfg; by American paper Optics Myself On Roof Top Of Queens, NY 11101 and too the future Ahead Jesus Christ is King Amen Saved 🐝🙏👍🎉

    2. I was in totality yesterday and i could clearly still see the sun? The moon is way smaller than the sun it doesnt cover it fullly

    3. Don't lie, this happens all the time, just because its not happening in your back yard doesn't mean its impossible to see it again. I mean if you want to see it you will go see it… that's it.

    4. News channels spreading fear, shocker… Guess what guys you'll never see it again according to the "news channel" wow… This is as dumb as telling people to collect rain in buckets cause its never gonna rain again.

    5. I'm watching this video 22 hours after seeing the April 8 2024 eclipse in Wapakoneta Ohio at the Neil Armstrong Space Museum.

In 2017 my family traveled to Hopkinsville KY for that eclipse and I realized that seeing totality and MAXIMIZING the amount of time you can enjoy that is a completely worthwhile life experience. Previously I'd seen two partial eclipses and those were merely interesting.

Seeing totality is an completely different experience. Do what you have to to experience it at least once in your lifetime.

    6. So, the "375 years" some people are using isn't the number of years between when you can see a total eclipse, but the number of years any given location has the probability of seeing it in the same place. So, unless your feet are firmly cemented in place, you can see one in less years than that.

    7. No one who witnessed yesterday's solar eclipse (2024-04-08) could honestly continue to believe that the Big Bang Theory truly offers a foolproof explanation of the state of the cosmos. Even more astounding is the mechanistic exploitation of the universe based on such a theory. In its purest form, the theory makes no accommodation for any kind of "GOD talk". Astronauts and other kinds of scientists from all the more powerful countries are determined to colonize the Moon and intrude into the furthest depths of the Sun. But humankind's refusal to acknowledge that these two planetary bodies are indispensable for the replenishment of Mother Earth must be regarded as the "lowest" form of arrogance and flattery. We can keep our smartphones and electric vehicles (EVs) functioning by recharging the batteries now and then. But everything that modern man claims to have invented or discovered has already been invented by the Intelligible Source and Sustainer of all that was, is, and will be; viz, The COSMIC ONE (GOD). While the average person merely associates the tidal cycles (high tide and low tide) with the daily delay of the Moon's rising, what is happening behind the scenes is that Mother Earth's energy is being RECHARGED by the Moon, and the sun acting in concert. This fact is deeply rooted in Physics since light exerts physical pressure on objects in its path. And so, long before modern scientists realized that batteries could be recharged by transferring energy from one source to another, the COSMIC ONE had already put such a phenomenon in motion through HIS INTELLIGIBLE NATURE. A similar kind of phenomenon is also at play in the RECYCLING of the different kinds of precipitation upon which our lives depend. Mother Earth has one (1) Moon and one (1) Sun. Some planets have several moons while others have none. The planets with no moons are much smaller than the ones that have moons and are tilting at alarming rates. Mother Earth has already begun to tilt and any colonization of or interference with our second-most important recharging station could only make matters worse. Thus, all attempts to exploit the fabric of the COSMOS beyond Earth’s atmosphere should cease and be desisted.

    8. Another significant moment for "The Chosen!" The Lord Jesus Christ, the Father and the advocate Holy Spirit are with "The Chosen." Even so, Come Lord Jesus!

    9. rare? meh…..happens every two to three years around the globe, @ 64 Ive seen four….. so yes you can/will see another… ie 2026 north eastern canada, greenland and iceland…theres news, then theres cbc news and then theres reality, the three hardly synonymous

    10. 5:15 375 Years to get a total solar eclipse precisely in your area?! 🤯 I cannot live that long… 🥵💀

5:21 This is a gift coming to us from God. 🙏🏾🌑☀

6:07 Right on about the clouds! 🎯 The weather was cloudy in my area, but after the Solar Eclipse finished, it got real sunny after an hour. 😶

    11. What about my wages? What about the taxes im paying??What about the food prices that are so high??What about the bills??Nothing??Oh ok then f your eclipse i dont give a f.

    12. Brooo I am in elementary school and this will be my last one. It was my first time bro this is so sad I hate life right now. I wish I never watch that. I wish it was every year like oh my gosh won't be able to see it ever again, I'd be dead by the last time it comes like why I would be lucky if I turn that age. No, I'm mad mad.

    13. At 6:02 there is an error. Mazatlan does NOT have the greatest chance of clear skies for April 8. Both Durango and Torreon, among large cities, have better chances for this date. Mazatlan has a good chance, but NOT the best.

    14. "The moon is getting farther away from us and no more eclipse in a billion years" hurts to hear that. Feels like a billion years is not far away. But I'm so glad I caught the partial Eclipse since I live in Maryland I missed the 2017 Eclipse because I didn't research the time it would happen and I was outside 😒. This event was amazing one I'll never forget. Great video 🌕🌔🌖🌑 Very insightful and informative 👍👍

    15. The last total eclipse was on 20 April 2023 (one year ago). The only place (on land) you could see it in totality was the tiny town of Exmouth – the westernmost point of Australia. Or you might have been on a fishing boat in the Indian Ocean.

The next total eclipse will be on 2 October this year. The best place to see it in its totality will be at Punta Arenas, Chile, at the southernmost tip of South America. See you there!

    16. I experienced the 2017 eclipse in totality in Augusta, GA. And saw the 2024 eclipse in almost complete totality in Wheatfield, IN just yesterday. I cannot believe how incredible lucky I got to witness both in person. 🥹
