    1. I think you're out of your wheelhouse making medical recommendations. It's fine to relate your experience and what you think happened, but to make recommendations to others (when you're not qualified to assess their condition) is off base.

    2. Jonas, if you do see this video, ignore it. This is some of the most ill-informed dipshittery I've ever seen. If you want to hear from a cyclist with an educated perspective talk to Eric Heiden.

    3. As a pogi fan, it's unfortunate he won't have the opportunity to beat a 100% Jonas this tour. Now if Jonas wins, he has to be the best rider by a long shot.

    4. Amen to listening to your body, not to doctors! I had several occasions where I had to point out specifically what was wrong with my ankle or knee until the doctors finally looked hard enough to see it. The only people who admit they are wrong less often than engineers are doctors 😊 (I am an engineer so hopefully I can say that?)

    5. NO need for your sexist comments against the nurse. You have no idea what kind of broken ribs Jonas has. Your arrogance in knowing more than your doctors is astounding. Stick with race analysis which we love.

    6. I don’t think Jonas can win the tour this year. Pogis broken hand last year and it cost him the tour last year. If pogi stays healthy, Jonas is behind 1% with this injury. Just enough to loose. Primoz is looking good this year

    7. Chris, stop it! You are not a medical professional. Jonas' injuries may be worse than yours were. I'm glad you made a speedy recovery but it doesn't mean Jonas will. I hope he does. BTW It's crazy they wanted you to use an incentive spirometer right away. Malpractice. Don't say "doctors don't know". Most of us do.

    8. “Everyone in the same box” regarding professional athletes and whatever is the normal set of patients is the issue here. Riders bodies are different, athletes bodies are different, pro riders bodies are even more different, and the difference isn’t just structural. Their understanding of pain needs to be actively translated in a medical setting.

I overworked both of my shoulders after separate operations. I was told to ignore the pain — that the pain was normal. But my definition of pain and their definition of pain were different and I ended up delaying my recovery by months.

    9. Funny story with the HR, like in a previous video😂. I can remember when going for a blood test, they asked to take my HR (usually between 39-43BPM), It recorded 39 and the nurse was panicking and I had to have a ECG. I just laughed and explained this is normal for me.

    10. still i think its weird to say that MvdP can win every race he enters this year, but because he is not as good of a climber as Wout he is behind him on the list. shouldnt like at least 30-50 other pro cyclist also be ahead of MvdP then? cuz i dont think he makes the top 50 when it comes to climbs longer then 5 km. But ofcourse you can have this opinion, specially if you think climbing abilities make up most of the score for your list, but i think for lots of ppl wins in 250 km+ races (and the world championships), tho not with long climbs, are also what put you apart from the average cyclist. its not for nothing MvdP was voted the 2nd best cyclist of last year (behind Vingegaard) by all of the press.
one thing that might be interesting to mention is that Evenepoel stated that MvdP was climbing a lot better than previous years (they train together on occasion in Italy or Spain) and could follow Evenepoel way longer, so who knows he will surprise you this and next year!

    11. I had a doctor once say to me that most people won’t do what they need to do, to take care of their health. So pills are often just prescribed. In my years(I’m about the same age as Chris) I have had so many bad experiences with doctors that, I try to take the basic knowledge they have & combine that with common sense. I know they know their profession, better than I do. But, that doesn’t mean that they are going to be “right” all the time. Or that they are going to take the extra effort to help me properly deal with me, personally 100%. In fact, it’s often a lot less than that. & they are using metrics that often don’t apply to me. I’ve even had symptoms on certain medication that they say aren’t related to that medication. Well, it was the only thing I was taking & the symptom was most definitely there.. 1+1=2. I’m no genius, but I’m pretty good at that level of math….

    12. The season is set up for Pogacar!, If he uses his resources wisely during the giro, he has a great chance of the Giro/Tour double if he can play the same game against Roglic during the tour.

    13. Cab got me very bad once. Was torn out of my clips and flew over the cab. All ribs on one side broke. Really painful recovery. Destroyed my hopes of making an Ironman.
