Motorcycle Tour of Northern France part one England and beyond 4K
This time it’s part one of our Motorcyle journey through northern France
and we travel from the english midlans to the port of Dover and on to Normandy
Its a great part of the world to tour around there is lots to see and in general the roads a very quite, but you are 100% right about British drivers the standard is shocking, any way enjoyed your video well done thanks for sharing
Use a different route. No delays on the other routes. Eg. Portsmouth to Caen. The tunnel. I’ve only ever experienced delays at Dover. Pre brexit as well.
Thank you for taking me along on your holiday. Beautiful scenery. I really like that Moto Guzzi. Ride safe all and keep the rubber side down. Cheers from the States.
Great film, I've lived in France for 16 years now, the roads are pretty always nice, especially on a bike. As for Calais, its a really lovely place to visit but as you say most people zoom straight past it.
I've experienced bad drivers in France as well as Italy, its not a particularly British problem, its universal as is hold up in passport controls. In fact my Swiss friend had far more problems travelling over the Swiss border into France, than I did, as soon as they saw my passport I was waved on, but strangely not him ??????? I agree that the the Route Nationale is by far the better way to go and its free, unlike the French motorways.
Have you thought about using the ferry from Newhaven over to Dieppe, my wife and I use it rather than going to Dover, it's easier to get to and much better, it takes four hours and if you book in advance its cheaper than Dover.

Thanks for sharing that video of your tour.
We have our share of shite drivers here in Oz, too. Northern France looks nice, so I'll be interested to see the forthcoming videos.👍
New haven Dieppe is a good option if you’re heading to Normandy.
Why not Portsmouth – Caen ? Much easier and nicer !
