    1. Modern stuff can be a nightmare, motors getting scrapped because of failing plastic eco crap, how green is that??!! I'm sticking to my old school Pug HDI estate for now!

    2. For Gods sake – Take it to a Citroen dealer and ask for a price for them to rewrite/download the original Engine ECU software ………..thats your base line to start from. Once its running on its original ECU map you can then sort out the Engine management system. Its an AdBlu / Denoxtronic / DPF issue at play here.
DO NOT let Citroen tell you it needs a new DPF it just needs cleaning and reset.

    3. I promise I'm not trying to say i told you so but in a previous video I mentioned about the problem of removing DPF and getting an MOT. The software installed is to cheat testing equipment but at the cost of future reliability. Short of taking to Citroen – who will insist on replacing DPF – you will have to find a decent tuning company who can write a proper coding for you pal.

    4. I'd personally take it to a proper tuner. Sounds like it's had a bad flash bang map put on it by one of these mobile laptop tuning guys. Had mine done at West yorkshire tuning. Adblue, dpf, egr all removed from the ecu properly, dpf gutted along with a map, no problems at all when done right.

    5. I spoke on Facebook the other week about Dpf and adblue issues but you never really got back to me…
Tbh if he’s taking the van on then you’re lucky, most garages will say no once they find it’s been remapped!

If it was me I would be finding out exactly what has been done to the van when you purchased it.

Is it just a software map? Has the Dpf been gutted? Has the EGR been blanked?

If it’s software only then the tuner should have your original map on file.

You need the van back to standard

Also new mot rules are coming in soon which can detect things like this.

If you need any tech advice then don’t hesitate to get in touch, Rob will vouch for me
