Welcome to my daily coverage of the 2023 Transcontinental Race. The Transcontinental Race is a self supported bikepacking race across Europe. Riders have to plan their own route between a series of set parcour and checkpoints. The 2023 edition of The Transcontinental race is the 9th running of the event and begins in Geeradsbergen in Belgium and finishes in Thessaloniki in Greece.
The 2022 edition of the event was won by Christof Strasser who returns to defend his title. The fastest woman in 2022 was Fiona Kolbinger who also won the event overall in 2019. Other previous winner are Kristof Allergaert (2013, 2014, 2016) , James Hayden (2017 & 2018) and some guy called Josh in 2015.

Check out the route for female rider 41 Maria Holdcroft! Loving the updates!
Hi Josh, I am in the TCR myself (albeit a bit slower than those in front), but it’s a pleasure listening to your analysis, it’s something i look forward to everyday. Unfortunately i was just descending the Stelvio when I heard the story about Mike , could’t find the will to go up again 😅
noticed lead pair had a rest before doing Parcours 2 /checkpoint at dawn. Also Pogacar was on the course on Wednesday waving to the TCR guys
Hi Josh, where can we get access to the race manual? Thanks and keep up the great coverage 😊
Looking at some of the route on ride with gps this morning 😮
Hey guys,
A bit of subject but I'm looking for the intro music of the TCR podcast and can't find it…. Anyone know it ? 🙏
RAA is Race Around Austria…supported Ultra Race that takes place every year in Austria.
Appreciate your daily updates and I agree, the photographs on IG are stunning.
Great updates. Cheers
What do you think, will the forest fires in mediterranean countries (Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro) cause any hiccups for any riders? Currently most riders in the area seem to be on non-coastal routes.
I started to follow your channel on TD. Most ig was english.. I am surprised on TCR people do social media in English.
Do the riders have to submit their planned route prior to the race starting? To check for banned roads etc
Or can the riders ‘overlay’ their route onto a ‘banned roads’ map?
12:43 how many riders have been not made the checkpoint/cut so far? And of those, how many have scratched?
