In a recent poll, it seems that 78% of you have never been to a lift access bike park like Whistler, which is actually pretty unsurprising. Some of these places are not easy to get to, and some of you aren’t even that interested in downhill. Nevertheless, “Whistler” pops up a lot in MTB news as well as YouTube, and most of this content presumes you have certain knowledge about the place.

Some of you may feel that you have “stupid” questions about it, but I feel that no such questions exist.

This video is meant to serve as an introduction to Whistler so that other videos are easier to understand. If this upload isn’t up to normal standards, it’s because I produced it on location.

    1. whistle 2 would make a great ski resort and bike park my family owned it back in the 40s for $4000 sold for $35000 in the 60s and sold it to ppl that wanted to do this but the government stopped them with help of whistler and that spot has snow almost yr round still no road to the mountain lol

    2. Nice Vid! Stupid question – is all the cycling in Whistler downhill? I'm an X/C guy, and one of the things I love about Kingdom Trails and Pisgah, here in the east, is miles of riding without needing a lift. The more I see of Whistler the more it looks like a downhill-only destination (or is that because that's what grabs all the headlines?)

    3. Dude I appreciate what you and Ryann Dunn do. For someone that was in a bad car accident. To recovering that I can't be on an ebike it's dope seeing downhill tech that I might never see again unless I can afford a space age bike. Past few years have been comforted bye yall and I look forward to more.

    4. i have a decathlon bike which is a hardtail with no shockers or seat shockers (idk wht we call it) but it has a 80mm suspension , so can we drive it there

    5. It's been a decade since I went there as local. 2013 Red Bull Joyride was awesome! I miss that place a lot!
Ontario is super boring. You're blessed if you can easily reach it.

    6. What style of bike do you recommend, riding for this kind of place or even Berm peak?!?!?! You say "well he's riding a hardtail"…… is there a specific "all around" bike or whats your opinion??????

    7. I ski and mountain bike but it's along haul to Whistler from Newfoundland. I will make the pilgrimage one day but I will have to find a cat-sitter or pet hotel first .
