If you’re ready to buy a royal caran drink package in 2024 before you hit that book Now button you’re going to want to know a few important things about how Royal caran drink packages work and how to save the most money because no one wants to overpay for it

We’ve got all the tips you need in this Video hello everybody it’s Matt from Royal Caribbean blog.com and by far Royal cariban drink pack packages are likely the most popular thing you can add on to your cruise as you’re probably aware Royal kby does not include all the drinks in your cruise vacation you get

Some like water and coffee and tea but in a lot of cases you’re going to want soft drinks or beers or cocktails and that’s where a Roy Caribbean drink package comes in but it can be a little confusing as to how these drink packages work and do you actually need one and

Most importantly if you do need one how do you save money on it so real k has three drink packages to consider each of these drink packages have a fixed daily cost offered to on All Ships so that you can budget your beverage costs and potentially save some money the various

Plans provide guests with unlimited drinks they can be use at any bar or restaurant on Roy GRE cruise ships as well as their private destinations the drink package benefits are available via your cpass card which any waiter or bartender can verify that you have the package among the three drink packages

None of them include mini bar items EV on water souvenir glasswar specialty beers or super premium category beverages let’s go through each one starting with the refreshment package this drink package includes all the non-alcoholic drinks it’s popular with adults as well as older kids and those that just like having juices coffees and

Teas included for every guest that buys the refreshing package it includes premium coffees and teas bottled still in sparkling water fresh squeezed orange juice mocktails Fountain sodas and Coca-Cola Freestyle bever bages and of course you get a Coca-Cola souvenir cup included then we have the classic soda

Package which a lot of people just call the soda card it’s the unlimited soda offering and it’s very popular with kids this includes found in soda and refills in any venue Coca-Cola Freestyle Beverages and the Coca-Cola souvenir cup as well and then there is the deluxe beverage package which is the unified

Unlimited alcohol package this is the best of both worlds with access to nearly the entire stock of beverages with over without liquor you can enjoy unlimited combinations pretty much of everything from cocktails with top shelf spirits to premium teas and everything in between so it includes cocktails

Spirits Liquors beer wine by the glass mocktails premium coffees and teas Fountain sodas the Coca-Cola Freestyle beverages Coca-Cola souvenir cup bottled still in sparkling water and fresh squeezed juices it also includes a 40% discount on wines under $100 and a 20% discount on wines above $100 the deluxe beverage package includes drinks with

Liquor up to $15 in value drinks that are served in a souvenir cup glass mug or whatever are not included with this drink package but a portion of the drink price is subsidized by the beverage package it’s really important to know that if one adult in the cabin elects to

Buy the deluxe beverage package all the other adults in the same cabin need to book it this rule does not apply the refreshing package or the soda package now if this rule applies to you and one of the other adults in the C and doesn’t want the unlimited alcohol package well

Then you could call Royal Caribbean and ask to get them one of the lower packag which will save you money compared to being forced to buy the deluxe beverage package the price of a drink package will vary from ship to ship and sailing to selling rooll utilizes Dynamic

Pricing for its drink packages primarily the deluxe beverage package but this really means that the price could be different based on the ship itinerary or sale date that you pick the deluxe beverage package price ranges between $55 and $105 per person per per day the Royal refresher package is pretty much

$29 per person per day soda package $112.99 per person per day and every drink package includes gratuities when you purchase it so there’s no additional tips or costs for anything included in the package when you purchase it you’ll see a service charge that comes with the drink package which includes the

Automatic 18% gratuiti and no this gratuiti is not the same gratuiti that you may have already prepaid with your cruise fair that gratuiti is for your state attendance and the dining room staff the key is with any drink package you always want to buy it before the

Cruise and that is because Roy crean offers sales almost always on its drink packages bottom line it will cost you more to buy the drink package on board your cruise ship than at home so no matter what it’s always cheaper to buy before the cruise plus the nice benefit

Of Royal Caribbean system is if you buy it today one of these drink packages and then tomorrow or next week or next month or next year the price goes down on the drink package you can always cancel and rebook with no penalty the drink package instantly via Royal’s website and then

Rebook at the lower price and this is a really good idea to book it now because sometimes the price goes up so by booking it now you get to lock in the current price but still be able to take advantage of a price decrease later on something else you should know about

Royal drink packages is there’s no daily limit for any of the drink packages I know that Carnival and maybe some other cruise lines have a daily limit Royal Caribbean does not so what are the pros and of a drink package well one of the pros is you’re going to be able to

Potentially save a lot more money compared to paying for each drink all a cart certainly if you’re somebody that enjoys having many drinks every day it can definitely save you money with a drink package this requires anyone that buys the package to be willing and able

To enjoy a good half dozen drinks every day of their Cruise there is no question a drink package has an excellent value proposition associated with it but you need to be able to drink enough to quote unquote break even on the package versus buying the same amount of drinks on your

Own if you knew that you were not going to drink enough every day of your cruise Break Even I’m not sure why you’d want to pay for a package with that being said the price of a Royal Caribbean drink all aart has really been going up

Over the last couple of years you can expect to pay anywhere between 10 and $15 for a cocktail on a royal Kine cruise ship which means B tabs can quickly get very expensive and with so many tantalizing choices at each bar on your cruise ship the temptation to grab

A drink is always present the drink package benefits will save the most money for anybody that drinks a lot during the day and then spreads their drinking out throughout the course of their day and evening then of course there’s the amount of drinks one common regret I hear about all the time is

Something called drink fatigue with the drink package and this refers to when somebody buys the drink package and they end up drinking way more than they ordinarily would and they end up ordering drinks for the sake of ordering drinks when using a drink package I always struggle with the question am I

Really ordering a drink because I want one or because I have a drink package there have been plenty of times with a drink package where I know I’m simply ordering a drink because I have the package and the show activity or event I’m attending offers drink so why not

Get one if you’re on a short cruise and are looking to have a great time the drink pack should make a lot more sense since there are less days to use the package benefits likewise shorter Cruises have a tendency to have more of a party atmosphere than longer cruises

So it’s important to keep in mind what your goal is when ordering a drink package are you going to be spending much of your time by the pool are you somebody that will be doing other activities where drinking may not always be an option then there’s the

Convenience and I would argue this is just as important as how many drinks per day you’re going to have because many other passengers swear that the convenience factor of the drink package is totally worth it it makes enjoying drink simple with no fuss involved there’s no worrying about how much the

Drink costs and if you should get it or something cheaper heck there’s not even the concern about if you can afford to get a drink or not it’s a fair point and amongst the most commonly cited reasons people love drink packages we all love the convenience of the drink package too

Especially to have the freedom of trying new drinks without fear of ordering something we don’t like and then being quote unquote stuck with it or relegating ourselves to drinking the same old drinks because we know them all too well the thing is the number one

Reason to buy a drink package is to save money I think otherwise why would it exist right Royal caran would not roll out something that would offer no savings and expect people to pay for it I think with that in mind the convenience is certainly important but ultimately I think the cost saving

Should still supersede that decision another really good reason to get a drink package is of course budgeting because this is probably the most contentious point in my list in addition to being convenient a lot of its fans Advocate that having an unlimited drink package helps them stay on budget and

Avoid thinking about money on a vacation now on the surface this makes a lot of sense because you can buy a drink package before your cruise and break up the total cost of your sailing or opt to purchase it on board and cap your drink spending on the there in either case it

Goes to making your total cost more predictable it reminds me of old cell phone plans and why some people prefer unlimited data rather than fixed data plans simpler to have one cost that covers everything than having to worry about going over I have to admit I

Really like the idea of paying for the drink package months before your cruise and then paying it off on that billing cycle and then not having a giant bill at the end of the cruise now it does not mean you’ll actually save any money you still need to drink enough every day of

Your cruise to actually make the drink package worthwhile otherwise you’re just overpaid earlier than usual the whole notion of not having to worry about receipts gratuiti or how much a drink costs is certainly nice but it’s far from essential if someone told me I could save more money by doing some

Simple math every day you bet I’ll be bringing my calculator on board there are a lot of fun things to do on a realing cruise and the more money I can save the more fun I can afford to have then of course there’s a downside of the

Drink package and that is sticker shock even if you’re not on a tight budget drink prices on Royal cine can be somewhat shocking there might be the most amazing drink on the menu but spending $15 for it might not be in your wheelhouse it’s debatable how much any

Drink should cost if you go to a concert or theme park you’re going to find real cre surises very pedestrian and of course paying for your drink package you’ll be paying for the entire purchase up front and that is not cheap it’s not uncommon to have well over $1,000 for

Two people to get the drink package Auto real Cru for a seven night sailing that’s a lot of money upfront to pay for really almost anything and lastly you should also think about your itinerary how many C days or Port days will you have will really factor in your decision

Will you be going on a cruise that visits Perfect Day cook key or lobid D in that case those are Port days but your drinks are included but if you’re doing a lot of other ports elsewhere maybe you’re doing a European Cruise or an elastic cruise that is very Port

Intensive that means less time to get your money’s worth out of your drink package to get the best possible deal on a drink package you really want to buy it as early as you can and then repic when there are price drops the price of a drink drink package can change many

Times before the cruise begins and this is because of the various sales offered typically there’s a pre- cruise sale all the time and the drink package cost can vary considerably the one thing you don’t want to do with the drink package is try to time a sale whether it’s Black

Friday July 4th or New Year’s Eve don’t try to wait for a sale to book it if you know you want a drink package or probably know you want one book it now lock in the price if there is a better deal on one of these holidays you can

Always cancel and rebook at the lower price the problem is too many people wait to try to book their drink package on those sales because they don’t want to lay out the money ahead of time and they end up paying more than they expected overall whether a royal crian

Beverage package is right for you is totally a personal decision based on a lot of variables there is no flat yes or no answer to determining if the drink package makes sense for everybody but I hope the considerations in this video can help with your decision before

Purchasing any drink package be sure to do your homework and do the the math of how much you have to drink every day for it to make sense if you’re a firsttime cruiser the drink package can make sense for some people and others no sense at all it’s foolish to assume that any

Drink package is a good or bad value without considering how you Cruise the deluxe beverage package benefits guests who want to have a great variety of premium drinks on their sailing those that mainly drink beers will find it more difficult to make the drink package worthwhile over the course of the cruise

In terms of breaking even so to speak what I often hear from other people is that over the course of longer sailing seven nights or longer it becomes more and more difficult to maintain the level of drinking required to get the value from the package keep in mind that you

Can always purchase a drink package even after your cruise begins if you find yourself drinking more than you thought Ro Kine advertises that its drink package can be purchased at any point in the cruise provided there are at least 4 days left in the sailing so the key is

To know how you like to cruise and which pros and cons of the drink package are most important to you at worst you’re going to overpay for a drink package or for drinks on your own in either case you’ll still likely have a great vacation experience let me know in the

    1. If you drink more than 8 drinks per day you have a problem and you wont enjoy the cruise that much. I just came off the grandeur of the seas and I only had 2-4 drinks per day and was more than good. The alcohol package is not worth it to me. Unless you a alky lol

    2. I'm trying to fully understand the cost breakdown of the Deluxe Beverage Package. My understanding is that it does already include gratuities/service charges.

If the per day cost is, let's say, $105 USD & it includes nonalcoholic beverages as well & if the Refreshment Package is, let's say, $30 USD/day then, in a way, as long as you partake in the huge variety of beverages onboard/day the alcohol portion comes out to approximately $75 USD/day.

If the average alcohol beverage costs $12 USD (not including the gratuities/service charges), to break even, one would need to drink 5-6 drinks because the gratuities/service charges make that $12 USD alcohol beverage closer to about $15 USD.

Given the numbers I've estimated, anything over the 5 alcohol beverages PLUS the nonalcohol beverages (bottled water, freshly squeezed juices, specialty coffees/teas/shakes/mocktails) and you can potentially come out ahead and really have quite the gluttonous liquid vacation! (As long as you pack pants/shorts with elastic waistbands since this doesn't include the food😉)

Any help here would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

    3. A drink package of USD $105 per day would mean that you could buy 12 Cans of "full strength" Beer per day, at the USD $8.50 per Can now charged by this company.
This is 1.4 * 12 "Standard drinks" = almost 17 "Standard Drinks" per day.
(Presumably, you actually get MORE, because of the "Package Discount" !)

If you fully use this package, you MUST BE an Alcoholic !

    4. I just purchased one at 70 bucks a day for an Adventure OTS cruise in June. I'm a beer drinker, and on vacation I could drink half a case a day. I see this EASILY paying for itself. Idk how people make it worth it for liquor.

    5. On our first cruise we regretted not getting it because we ended up having less fun stressing over money.

For our next cruise we prepaid, we might end up paying too much, but at least we don't have to worry about the money.

    6. We just finished another cruise and I found that the drinks on RC, and others, are getting very weak, mostly sugar, and well over priced once you add the 18% gratuity. Anyone else experience this?

    7. Royal Caribbean really needs to have a single price for their unlimited drink package across their fleet, not pricing per ship. Its ludicrous that I can pay $72.00 on one ship and $93.00 on another. Its all the same damn alcohol!

    8. Purchased the drink package on my last 5 night cruise and I’m planning on doing so again for my 7 night cruise next year! I watched the prices frequently and was able to get our package for around $63 a day on our last cruise. We mostly drank cocktails, which were generally $15 if bought a la carte. On sea days, drinking 4 cocktails throughout the whole day was not difficult at all for us!

I love the convenience of it, and I love being able to try different drinks without worrying if I will like it or not. If I didn’t like it, I could easily just leave it at the bar and order something different! Totally agree with the budgeting aspect as well. It gave me a lot of peace of mind having everything booked and paid for prior to the cruise so I didn’t have to give money a second thought on my vacation!

    9. I appreciate these videos! I've never cared about soda, or non-alcoholic specialty drinks. Unfortunately they don't have just and alcohol drink package, which is a bummer.

    10. I was able to call my Royal Caribbean casino royal host. I asked them if I can buy the delux drink package for myself only. I had already purchased the non alchoholic drink package for my wife. They said yes, I can upgrade to the delux drink package for myself only. My wife does not drink alchohol. For the record, I usually bought drinks al la cart for that reason. I wanted to try something different for our upcoming Oasis of the Seas trip in April 2024.

    11. I’m going on a 7 night European cruise and decided to do the drink package. It was definitely pricey but I think it will be convenient and save money. Plus I love being able to try everything without worrying about the price.

    12. @12:44 Remember this time stamp when you go to a self-service buffet. People commonly lick their hands and then get sick but don't want to stay in the cabin for their 'expensive' vacation. Don't just look at drink packages but also take a look at food stuff also.

    13. We just returned from a Western Caribbean cruise on the Mariner of the Seas. I was very disappointed that I spent $850 for my wife and I on the delux drink package. The drinks were absolutely watered down. I am not a heavy drinker, with two drinks giving me a buzz. I had four cocktails on boarding day and nothing happened other than getting bloated. I did not go on the cruise to get drunk, nor did I buy the package for that. But one expects that part of the experience of having drinks is to feel the experience. My brother in law had the same experience, along with others I spoke with. Royal Caribbean needs to do something about that. $850 for a drink package for 5 night cruise for two people is crazy expensive and to get ripped off on drinks is unconscionable. And if they're trying to keep younger people from super over-indulging, come up with another way of dealing with it.

    14. I bought the Deluxe Beverage Package for my cruise in Hawaii on Quantum in April 2024. The DBP cover cocktails up to $14. I now see on the Royal Caribbean app that the cocktails on EVERY bar menu is $15
So does this mean that I'll have to pay an additional dollar for every cocktail I order? It covers beers no problem, buy if I want to try different frozen drinks etc. They ALL are listed at $15

    15. Thanks Matt my wife and I are headed out on Royal Caribbean in December for a 7 day. She cannot drink alcohol due to meds she is on. So I don’t know how that will work out for us

    16. Purchased the soda packages based on this video, then found out AFTER we got on Liberty of the Seas (March 2024) that this boat does NOT have the self-serve soda machines. Very frustrating! I have definitely drank less than I would have because I now have to wait in long lines behind everyone ordering mixed drinks at the bars just to get my soda. I will definitely do more research before buying the soda package again.

    17. I loved the drink package. It allowed me to taste different drinks that I've always been interested in, but wasn't sure I would like. If I didn't like it, I just got something else. I've been checking the app everyday to see when the drink package becomes available to purchase it for our next cruise, lol.

    18. If you can figure out if you can make the refreshment work for you, subtelract that price frome the deluxe package price. Divide the difference by the price of your usual drink. That's how much alcohol you need to drink each day to break even.
My number is 2 or 3 per day.

    19. My god… All the packages are so expensive. My kids would be thrill to drink infinite juice and stuff, but even the soft drink package is expensive for a family of 5 for 4 nights… We will drink water and juice from Windjammer and pay à la carte for a few drinks.

    20. The booze package is only worth it if you can drink a minimum of 6 alcoholic drinks per day. The other liquids are just a bonus. In any case, it's over priced. Makes me just want to order drinks and dump them on pure principal.

    21. Does anyone know if there is a time they serve alcohol? I've heard they stop serving around 11pm on Carnival, I've never been, but want to know if it is similar on Royal Caribbean. Thank you.

    22. My wife and I don’t drink. We love pina coladas but we drink them Virgin we can do probably 2 a day max. Is it work getting the drinking package for us??
