The 2023 Nottingham Goose Fair had one of the best line-ups for a while, with a lot of the major attractions choosing Nottingham over Hull this year.

Most noticeable amongst these was Darren Matthews Airmaxx, a truly insane experience. There’s really nothing else like it in the country. It dominates the skyline and the insane dynamic cycles make it amazing to watch, as well as ride.

Ice Jet is always a favourite and looked (and rode) as good as ever. The presentation of the ride makes the experience outstanding and the numerous awards it wins are definitely justified.

The Joker booster was a new addition this year and looked great, albeit with a hefty price tag. We didn’t have much luck with the loop fighters this year as Atmosfear experienced a lot of down-time on our visit and Red Devil wasn’t even unlocking it’s carriages on its cycle, so we gave it a miss.

We had a great visit. I do wish there would be more coordination with Hull fair though. Two starflyers at Nottingham with none at Hull just seems a shame. Let’s hope it’s better in 2024.
