season ended?
Race and I’m afraid this was the moment and the panning and everything was was there but not in this place and you can’t account for a rider slipping off I guess but it was that concrete open drainage ditch it’s there to catch um flood water at the side of the road
And keep the road clear and going into this and over it and around it with rocks around as well it was just a disastrous moment yeah you saw Lander’s reaction there when he looked around and saw um EV B you know going off the road crashing I
Think it was it tsfat on it slid first and it causes a reaction causes a little bit of panic you you bang the end and and what the the sports directors do um I think they will race I think we’ll we’ll race into town um of course this
Happens from time to time in in cycling it’s you know this is our Sport and in the meantime fig go is been kind of stretchered to the ambulance they they have to make sure that they’ve got covered because there still 30 OD kmers going the stage
But yeah it’s a it’s a real real nasty one you can see you know he’s got the oxygen yeah it’s scenes that we don’t want to see again I don’t think not happy about seeing them now to be honest because because you have to remember that the families and friends
Of these Riders are also watching these pictures and that’s the worst thing that is the worst thing yeah they don’t know their condition and neither do we and we just hope for the very best um first and foremost these are human beings for goodness sake fore

Jonas "Hypoxic" V. hit the red rider's back wheel and fell on the ground then up front another rider slid out on the corner. So there were 2 crashes here that started this all.
Tadje needs to pull out of TDF it’s too easy now.
Too many people blaming the organisers. If you race on the road you take risks – organisers do what they can but they cant put padding on every corner and every bit of road furniture.
3 of the big 4 taken out in 2 days. I was worried it would be unlikely that they'd all make it to the Tour healthy and in good form. Let's just hope for a full and speedy recovery. People went directly into that wall at the end of the ditch. Horrible crash.
Anyone else think of Fabio Casartelli at the 1995 Tour de France? Looks awfully similar.
Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why is there not a barrier there ffs
thank you for sharing this video

😢
I hope that everyone is okay.
That looks like a front flat tire…..you can see it roll off of the rim.
Lance Armstrong was once asked what pro cycling is like. "it's like jumping out of a car at 40 mph"
that may be the most useless barrier ever in a race. UCI should fine the organizer but they are too busy checking brake lever angles. absolutely unbelievable to not have a barrier in the correct spot with the rocks and concrete there.
no uci rider points should be given to races that are unsafe like this
Even if they couldn't put a fence up or something, you'd obviously think some soft protection over the obvious concrete/rocks would be a good idea?!
the race is over, all the favourites have been out of race
That route should not have been approved for this competition! A deep concrete ditch and some boulders, exactly at the curve, with no protection for the riders. This is terrible!!
hope them recover well.
The guy second off the front had some speed wobble and lost a little control and the guy to his left could not avoid him. That is how the crash started.
This was the best clip thanks looks friggin scary this one. Too many crashes recently 😢
0:02 😮Both Lidl and Visma rider were sketchy mid corner before the wipe out. Could be a sign of corner braking on a fast descent skidding the tires. The other riders on the same line made it which means the road surface is clear. 😮
the aerial view of Vingegaard being stretchered away is one of the worst things I've ever seen in cycling. He's "only" got broken collarbone and ribs, but it looks so, so much worse in that footage. The lead rider (Landa?) has the correct reaction. He's like, "f**k!". Which is the reaction you want to see. The one you don't want to see is someone attacking.

😢😢😢 get well soon champs, never let any evil dare to harm you guys, fans love youuuuu 🎉❤🎉
Right at the start at 0:01 look at the wheels of the riders in 2nd, 3rd and 4th position. They jump around like crazy because of bumpy asphalt. Remco almost made it but he had to make a choice in a split second to try and hold the line, maybe hit that ditch or jump the ditch and maybe ride it out on the grass.
Safety?😢
Organizer must be fined heavily !! Such a dangerous curve and they didn't put protection !!
Absolutely horrible😩
Why weren't they all on mountain bikes for this stage?
When a bike is to"stiff" and the tire pressure high then steering in fast corners has its limits!
Horrible crash, so sad to see these great riders getting injured, wishing every one of them a full and speedy recovery. Well done Remco for the bunny hop!!
