Discover the history of this fascinating town at the foot of the Accursed Mountains along with the sites that make it a “must visit’ destination in Kosovo. This film features interviews with a number of community leaders working to transform Peja and the surrounding region into a premium cultural centre and tourist destination. Visit the famous Bazaar, the Peć Patriarchate, the Museum and the Art School, alongside a walk around time and an obligatory cafe stop. There is plenty of accommodation in Peja for all budgets. I stayed at the friendly and central Stone Bridge Guest House.
A big thank you to everyone who made my short visit to Peja so memorable.

    Is Peja with visiting? Yes!

    3. I was in Peja during covid quarintine, and met a good friend there, I love that city and Rugova canyon, Kosovo is a great country, Pristina, Mitrovica and the lake close to the bear sanctuary, Im mexican and will move to live to Kosovo and thinking Peja.

    4. Serbs, (like Macedonians more recently) were heavily invested in manufacturing history, basically a large scale forgery of facts, sites and artifacts to weave them into their own history from the 7th century, when they moved into the area.
The Patriarchy is presumed to be initially a pagan Illyrian temple, turned Byzantine, then Roman and on top of those ruins they built an orthodox church. Orthodox religion was spread from Albania covering areas like Decani and Peja and majority of Albanians there were Orthodox, independently from Serbs.
