Hi everyone so we’re just out at tunnel bar Farm fishery today and we’re here for the Shimano media press launch of five brand new polls that they’re going to launch I’m here with Ben from Shimano and Ben’s just going to quickly talk us through each of these poles now in terms

Of where they sit Ben y they’re beneath the X5 7 and the pro cor these are you wouldn’t say entry level would you but they just less expensive option yeah just a less expensive option to the market definitely yeah okay so let’s pick up each of these and go through

Them so we’ll leave the margin poles to till last but so we’ got the X1 here yep so we got the X1 which is 112 m y comes with two top kits and that will retail about £500 yep and then next up we’ve

Got the X2 and this is a 13 M pole yeah and this is going to retail around 750 and that comes with three top kits and then we have the X3 which is42 M and that is going to be just short Penny short of £1,000 but it comes with four

Top kits yeah we’ve actually just been fishing with the X3 today just having a little go and they’re really lovely poles yeah it feels great for for the money for £1,000 it really feels great yeah and and these are sharing a number of the features that you’re also getting

The more expensive po yes so we got the the same finish on the end of every section with the reinforced ends and all it’s worth noting that all the top kits are interchangeable throughout the range yeah so whether it be the pro this the seven or the five the top kits

Also fit these so that’s a good feature to have on these poles yeah I know when I took the um the X5 s and the pro out last year I was so impressed with the PS and the features that they’ offered and it’s so nice to see that you’ve carried

Like the diamond satin finish and some of the pictures have carried over to these yeah we there definitely the Heritage from the Old shano Poles we’ defin put them into these new ones definitely yeah okay let’s have a quick look at these two margin poles before I

Let you say anything here though I’ve got to say yeah this one here which you would say was the entry level poll yeah tell everyone what that’s going to come in at that is going to be £ 250 yeah it’s got three top kits I tell you what

This is absolutely brilliant I think when when you visit a pole alley or you know get an opportunity to pick one of these up you will be blown away for the money it’s certainly been a fat favorite for the last week or so since I’ve had

Them so yeah yeah I mean when when talk margin poles you expect maybe they’re built for strength they’re not not the stiffest but this is a bit of a game changer the usability in that I think it’s it’s all it’s definitely a game changer that’s why I’d say it is yeah

Yeah yeah and then the other margin pole we’ve got here is the pro yes so that’s 112 M that comes with four top kits and that’s going to be £500 a penny short of £500 that is yeah um and that worth noting that interchanges with the seven

The five and the pro Yeah so basically you can pick yourself up a spare pole want to do some margin work or some it’s worth having you know these days fishing’s a bit scary at times so it’s definitely worth having something like that in your locker yeah definitely well
