๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ To most people, the word Finland probably conjures up images of sauna, snow and Santa…

๐Ÿšด๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ But you may be surprised to hear that it’s also a mountain biker’s paradise, with some seriously steep rock-slabs hiding right in the centre of the country’s capital city – Helsinki!

๐ŸŒฒ Inspired by Yoann Barelli’s Tour de Gnar in BC, Canada, we assembled a motley crew of shredders, and set out in search of the similar, albeit smaller, slabs and trails scattered throughout Helsinki!

๐Ÿ So join us on a fresh autumn day back in October 2022, for some slippery sketchy sending!

    1. I really needed this video. So good ๐Ÿ‘ you and your buds created a fun watch .
Met you last year at Peloton . Been living Helsinki 1.5yrs, from West Vancouver, BC and riding north shore all my life.

      Dont know anybody here.

Is there helsinki mtn bike/freeride meetup rides posted up anywhere, like a bike shop or online ?

    2. How about the slabs in Kivikko, down towards the BMX track? Nice video man. Edit and music spot on. The tree hit was gnarly, luckily it looked like mostly the bar the took the hit

    3. Helsinki Slab City! Awesome edit, awesome trails. Seemed like a super fun day out. More than a few home trails there, haven't had the guts to hit Kapteeni on my own yet. But have been following the build/cleanup closely. Definitely interested joining the next round ๐Ÿ˜€

    4. Nice riding, seen some this stuff in person and it's sooo steep. Talking about gnar I've always wondered if some crazy person has done the drop in Taivaskallio from the top of the bunker that's closest to Panuntie to the steep downhill ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜…

    5. First video I've seen of riding where the bikes folk are on here made sense. I see a lot of people on fancy kit when im out with the dog and it makes no sense because its so flat around here. Especially after living 15 minutes drive from the likes of Innerleithen/Glentress and being a a short ride from the Pentlands which I've ridden more on shitty hardtails than bikes that are actually suitable for them ๐Ÿ˜‚. Looks fun and if I didnt rely on my hands for a living it would definitely be putting me in the mood to go out exploring.
