E-Bike Solo. Spain to Germany. 2021. Pedelec Adventures

In 46 days I “surfed” the lockdown-opening-wave from the southern tip of Spain to the Rhein Valley in Germany. 3,500 kilometers by e-bike. Solo.

When I hit the road in Andalusia in May 2021, the Corona lockdown was just eased and the situation put a lot of uncertainties on my trip. Where was I going to sleep? Where was I going to charge my batteries? I had no idea if campsites, hostels, cafés, and restaurants would be open all the way through Spain, France and Germany. So I equipped myself to be autonomous as long as possible …

It was my first e-bike trip all alone. Camping out in the wild, I faced my fears. And in the end I found, it was a journey to meet the local people. And it was a journey to meet myself. One of the most valuable experiences of my life …
