Why is the 2024 total eclipse so unique?

FROM THE 2024 ECLIPSE, AND WITH SUCH A BIG EVENT WHAT MAKES IT SO UNIQUE? JACOB MATTHEWS BREAKS DOWN THE SCIENCE OF THE ECLIPSE. There is a lot to look forward to with the total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8th. It’s a completely different experience than a partial eclipse. On April 8, the moon

Will “totally” block the sun, leaving the sun’s outermost layer, the corona, visible to the naked eye, like a glowing ring in the sky. But there’s another factor that makes this eclipse even more special. Like all solar eclipses, the moon sits between the sun and the Earth, but not all solar

Eclipses are the same. Unlike the total solar eclipse from August 21st, 2017, the moon’s shadow from this year’s eclipse is larger because the moon is closer to the Earth. Skywatchers will not only get a glimpse of total darkness, but a longer period of darkness as well. Penn State Behrend Professor Darren

Williams says Erie is close to the shadow’s maximum length. *SO* Darren Williams, Ph.D| Professor of Astronomy and Astrophysics, Penn State Behrend (Explains length of totality) The moon’s orbit at the time of the eclipse will be near perigee, the point closest to Earth. But what if the moon’s orbit is near

Apogee, the point farthest from Earth? In that case, you may get an annular solar eclipse, like the one from this past October.*SO* David Hurd| Professor of Astronomy, PennWest Edinboro (Talks about the recent annular eclipse) Of course, safety is a top priority, and specially designed glasses are recommended to view the

Eclipse. With the glasses on, you may also notice that the sun is near solar maximum. *SO* (David Hurd explains solar maximum) Most of the country will, in the very least, view a portion of the eclipse. Major cities like Dallas and Cleveland will get to experience totality. In Erie, totality will happen

Between 3:15 and 3:20 PM. A total solar eclipse appears somewhere on the Earth’s surface about every 18 months, but for Erie, it is a once-in-a- lifetime event. The next total solar eclipse over Erie won’t be until the year 2144. Jacob Matthews, Jet 24 Action HERE AT JET 24 YOU KNOW WE ARE

    1. I'M SORRY, but this guy had no idea wtf he's talking about.(the guy being filmed calling this an Annular eclipse) It's NOT an Annular eclipse but it's a TOTAL FULL Solar Eclipse which means that the moon WILL block out the sun ENTIRELY and there will be NO RING OF FIRE EFFECT as there would be in typical Annular Eclipses.
Again, I'm sorry, but I just hate fake/false/misrepresented news.

EITHER WAY, this WILL BE a once in a lifetime event that will not happen again with this particular path in these areas in any living person's lifetimes

    2. Do you know why the Total Solar Eclipse 8 April 2024 is more exciting that is because NASA caught red handed.
NASA is misleading the community by telling lies about the Total Solar Eclipse….!

It has been totally described in Buddhist teachings how a Total Solar Eclipse phenomena is happening.

Sun is very small comparing to the earth

Sun’s diameter is 50 miles and it’s has approximately 650 miles circumference.
And the Moon has a 49 miles diameter and approximately 250 miles circumference.

When the Sun is covered totally by the Moon however
Sun can’t be totally covered by the Moon because of the 1 mile difference between the diameters of each other.

Ring of fire phenomena is occurred due to this Universal truth which is taught by the Lord Buddha.

Finally, the most important things should be mentioned here,

      They as follows,

1.Sun is traveling very fast when it is in its straight ecliptic path and the Moon is comparatively slow when it is in its ecliptic straight path.

2.Sun is traveling very slow when it is taking the turn in its ecliptic path and the Moon is traveling very fast comparatively when it is taking the turn in its ecliptic path.

3.The Sun travels a figure of eight ecliptic path called Solar Analemma throughout a year and the Moon travels also a figure eight ecliptic path throughout a year called Moon Analemma.

4.Sun and Moon traveling up above 42,000 miles from the earth.

      5. Sun and Moon always maintaining approximately 100 miles distances between each other when they are in their respective ecliptic path throughout a year, however this universal truth is coming to practical due to the phenomenon of that A Total Solar Eclipse can only be seen in a strip of approximately 100 miles.

That’s why a Total Solar Eclipse is can’t be seen by people of all over the world

It’s because of earth is very big comparatively to the Sun and Moon as I mentioned top of this comment.
