Iraqi Interior Ministry released footage showing moments of deadly fire at a wedding hall in Mosul last week.

Footage of the fire breaking out while the bride and groom were dancing also shows people running in a panic.

Almost 100 people died in the tragic incident, local authorities said Wednesday, Sep. 27.

There were 800 people at the wedding hall when the fire broke out, according to reports.

Another 500 people were injured in the fire, which broke out at Al Haytham Wedding Hall in the Al-Hamdaniya district, southeast of the city of Mosul, local media reported, citing Ahmed Hamdani, deputy director of the Mosul Health Department.

The Iraqi News Agency said the fire was caused by fireworks, candles, and other materials used during the event.

  1. People hang around in fires in real life.. I remember trying to get everyone out of a block of flats that was on fire and I couldn't get anyone to move! Once I got up and left a meeting when the fire alarm went off while everyone else sat there waiting to see if the fire was real!

  2. Wait… so the drone went through the exit to escape, but humans weren't smart enough to go out?! Clearly it went through an exit, it even came back! Sorry that people lost their lives, but seriously?!

  3. Who could have possibly predicted that having massive pyrotechnics, inside in a hall with loads of flammable stuff, could have caused a fire ?! 🤡

  4. I wonder how many people at that wedding were making comments on other videos just like this one stating, "Darwin award" "What could possibly go wrong?" or "People will never learn…" I swear people act like bots. Obviously it was a stupid decision to do it. However, are you all just fighting to be the first one to write that comment like you, I, and everyone else hasn't already seen it hundreds of times on every single video where someone does something stupid? We get it, you think you are immune to stupidity, yet the odds are at least one person who perished in that fire were more than capable of making that same comment…. Rest in peace, what a terrible tragedy to start a marriage with.

  5. Jeez, ive never heard of those super hot fire-shooting things burning down a venue with everyone inside before… oh wait yes, yes I have- a lot of times! What the hell were they thinking?
