We moved further along the Cote de Azure staying just outside Nice at Parc Des Maurettes. Was a little worried in approaching the site and the area is quite Commercialised, however the site itself is lovely.

We have a huge fully serviced pitch which is south facing but lovely trees provide a nice shady area. It is 400mts to the sea, supermarket and train station (which was part of the reason we choose this site). It is an ideal base for where we want to visit. It is nice and quiet.

After quick set up the bikes were out then we made the very easy coastal cycle path to Nice just over 10 miles there. Our first taste of Nice was good and we will definitely try and get up there again and have a proper look round. Lee enjoyed watching the planes land as the approach was really close to the beach.

We then did a lovely bike ride along the coast to Cannes passing through Antibes and around the Cap D Antibes which was stunning.

There were lots of lovely towns on route and some lovely sandy beaches. We really thought this had been the nicest part so far.

Arriving in Cannes was chaotic, it was very busy and wasn’t helped by the road works and closures along the front, making it very congested having to navigate heavy traffic. There used to be no doubt it is full of top end designer shops having spotted Jimmy Choo, Hermes, Rolex to name a few. We stopped for a photo opportunity outside the Carlton hotel 🏨- really looked the part in cycling gear (felt had to be quick in case security carted us off !!)

We were a bit underwhelmed with Cannes but that’s was probably due to the roadworks, busy and noisy. A mile of so out of the main bit we enjoyed a picnic lunch and a lovely view of the port.

Monaco. Lee was in his element. We walked 400mts from the site to the train station which then took about 45mins to get to Monaco. We started with the open top hop on hop off bus tour which helped get our bearings which took us on the F1 circuit 🏎️. The highlight was the views and just seeing the super cars around Monte Carlo – Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Porsche, Mercedes AMG, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Bentley. The amount of filming we did for our car mad F1 boys🙈Had a lovely lunch before getting the train for our second stop of the day the village of Èze.

On our way back we stopped off in Antibes for a wander a cheeky cocktail / beer. The town is really nice, with beautiful sandy beaches we would visit this area again

Finally we cycled up to the beautiful village of St Paul de Vence as recommended by some friends. It is about 7 miles away from the site with the second half of the ride being quite steep and hilly.

It was so nice to be away from the seafront and see the area from the hills. We were easily able to park and lock the bikes securely just outside the walls of the village. Where we spent a leisurely time wandering around the narrow streets. Similar to Eze with quirky, arty shops to view. It really is worth a visit and so glad we came. After a refreshment of Aperol and beer overlooking the views, it was time to enjoy the downward roll back to Luna.

Good afternoon hello we’ve left uh camping deal Plage at p grond and we’re moving on to our next site still on the coat dour we’re heading further up just south of nce so Lee is really looking forward to that because it’s a great location for going visited Monaco yeah on the train

On the train and the F1 track so this is the view of where we’re traveling now coming away from Pon it’s so nice around here the site we stayed at was camping D Plage and I think because we’re out of season a lot of the campsites in this

Area Clos at the end of September so there wasn’t were limited on options but this one was close to um half a mile from Port gon so hence why we picked it great location great location it was on two sides of the roads there was the

Beach side and the sort of forest side and it was heaving it was really I think it was just over 400 pictures um but I think it was pretty much full every day wasn’t it yeah for me they had the facilities they had the restaurants they had the beach they had

The um you know the facilities around the pitches they had a really good washing area they had a really good um it was on the cycle Lane wasn’t it yeah it’s really really good for going to gond it was only. n.8 of a mile so it

Was like a 15 20 minute walk our pitch was huge wasn’t it massive yeah really good however it was our pit was quite close to the road and it’s the main road through the cat dour really isn’t it and it was quite noisy and it did

Spoil a little bit it wasn’t peace and quiet I mean we we barely was at the van um so we were out for most of the day on bike rides and things like that so from that respect I think for me fine it was

In the morning when it was 7 6:00 in the morning 7 yeah the rush hour rush rush rushing by on the mot on the well L like a road but it sounded like a Motorway uh so but you I guess if you stay there again if if if you were asked

Staying there I would probably see if there was a pitch further away from the road he might have been all right and the ones on the beach were quiet weren’t they on the beach and you couldn’t I bet you couldn’t hear it further in into the actual Woodland further in into the

Woodland yeah however there was a lot of mosquitos oh yeah we I I have only in the last couple of years started to get bitten and I was getting covered but they even got you didn’t they yeah I mean I don’t normally get bitten I think

On virtually on the beach and I think you had a burgade pizza and that was fine wasn’t it wasn’t alak cart but it was it was fine it was nice there’s a little Supermarket on site as well so you can get your essential so really for the location and what was available to

Us at this time it was absolutely fine I probably wouldn’t choose it again if I’m honest um cuz it was quite it was on the more expensive side I think it was like 36 a night wasn’t it and actually yes he had the facilities and we managed to do

Some washing but I think we prefer the most more quieter yeah but we wanted to see Sant and po gon and we did that and for that it was good yeah but onward an upwards looking forward to the next Site right well we’ve now landed in Ni in south of nice was a bit worried driving as we came off the uh tall driving thinking oh it’s a bit built up but the sight’s actually really nice yeah we’ve got a lovely pitch um it’s a lot quieter than where we were

Before it’s a fully service pitch which was a bit of a surprise we just bought a pitch for the size of Van that we had it’s actually really all right so we’re going to go and have a bit of an explore have a cycle to niece um and see how we

Go on yeah so here’s the plot good good size plot isn’t it we got a tap in a drain there the electric and another tap in a there and it’s it’s sou facing just perfect I remember what it was like to not no love but now I receive what I

Return I remember what it was like to not no peace every week get moment I remember what it was like to not no but now I yeah sometimes every everybody gets caught wishing they had another life had another mission they got to make that incredible decision to check along in surface and

Line yeah we all have to make the choice to rise above it it might be our going to it out scream and shout do what your will belove it cuz this is our purpose in life yeah so then I take a deep breath step back relax I think about all
