We are riding an InterCity train in Italy today from Milan Porta Garibaldi to Bologna Centrale Only in Italy where we have fresh coffee on vending machine Not to forget to have America’s best cookies on board Please enjoy the train trip Milan, Italy – March 2024 Porta Garibaldi Train Station
Garbage collection day as it is today This is where our journey starts today, Porta Garibaldi Train Station in Milan Straight away we have train announcement screen for time and platform number Compare to Centrale Station, this Porta Garibaldi station has more modern vibes in design.
So modern they have a vending machine for under garments, don’t worry if you forgot yours Our InterCity IC 607 from Milan to Bologna leaves at 09.10 and schedule to arrive at 11.56 I paid €28,50 (US$30.80) for oneway ticket InterCity train from Milan to Bologna
Now it’s 8.30am and we haven’t got info on platform number, usually announced 15 minutes to departure schedule We can use Trenitalia app to get another info on train platform but careful it still can change at last minute Also on TrainLine app it says our InterCity IC 607 will be available on platform 8
Let’s test those apps see if the InterCity 607 that’ll take us is ready on Platform 8 I can see an InterCity train is already standing by at Platform 8 No signs yet on departure screen that this one is IC 607
Best way is to ask the officials, and it is confirmed IC 607 to Bologna This screen is the official sign for train number, platfom and direction Now let’s find our carriage This is it, our carriage number 3 and seat will be 5A Disney Pixar sponsored, welcome to our brain…ehm… our train
We have 2-1 configuration seats on this carriage and I booked a solo seat. Other carriage it’s 2-2 configuration. Here it isour seat 5A a solo/single seat with no neighbour hey look the last seat behind me is the best if you have a body strecthing super power
Over head storage, coat hook and seat looks nice, clean and new. Seems we got the newer year 2020 train this time Summons all train enthusiasts to comments section to confirm my observation Head rest is comfort, but seat is a non-reclining still support my back very well
I’m 180cm of height, leg room is plenty but no foot rest Two power plug sockets A trash bin Big folding table with a loud squeaking noise and couple games to play later Train seems to be delayed, let’s see some amenities in this InterCity IC 607 Here we have bicycles rack
Now we check the toilet onboard. Everything looks clean, but it could use some air refresheners What is this I found right on the back of our carriage? We got here vending machines and eating area all looks nice and clean. Fresh coffee machine from Lavazza, we should come back later for a cappuccino.
Finally our train is pulling out of the station Almost 20 minutes behind schedule as our InterCity IC 607 departing from Porta Garibaldi train station If we are on time Milan to Bologna train journey will take around 2 hours 46 minutes Mostly we’ll have farm fields and passing river on our journey to Bologna
Train will make couple of brief stops at stations such Piacenza, Fidenza, Parma and Reggio Emilia Meanwhile I tried to solve the game puzzles, just to find myself failed miserably Maybe a cup of cappuccino will help me Plenty types of coffee options here on the machine, but we go for cappuccino for this time
Just need to press the number 14 and make a payment Fresh grind coffee and frothed fresh milk made a good cappuccino as always They said in Italy its forbidden to order cappuccino after breakfast time, there’s a jail sentence for it 😀 … just kidding

Except maybe for delivering Oreos Decided to enjoy my smashed Oreo with a view As expected, we are now arriving in almost an hour late at the Bologna Centrale train station The InterCity Train IC 607 will then continue its journey to the final stop at Lecce
