We’re talking about kol FM’s experiences like for example kfm cated for the younger and the Elder so the younger was uh cool school U events which e man ran and you know Suzie G and they you know they ran this cool school event you know to educate the youngers about the music

And they did these dances down at Club EQ on watered and road which was previously known as Powerhouse they did these small clubs for the youngers they went off really really well I remember playing at one event down there it was like an evening so it started Maybe

Around 7 or something like that and you know finished finished a little bit early because obviously they the younger pupils there but it was a night which was really quite funny actually was uh I I bought my my eldest daughter she was perhaps around 14 at the time maybe even

Younger she might have been like 13 or so I got to the raave with her and I asked Susie G to look after her for a moment while I went up into the into the Rave and Su G like no problem I you know

Just just go in and do your thing and I went upstairs and I was standing in the main Arena just like to the back I saw someone come up the stairs and I could just see this head floating around and it it was my daughter she escaped from

Codex running around the venue looking for me obviously that was real funny so I chased her down took her back downstairs to Suzie G and Susie’s like all right I told you know I told her and she just ran out the door and I was like

I know you can’t you can’t help it it was a funny time it was really funny but the cool school thing was a great thing for the youngers it was like you know they there was an outlet for them as well which was great you know and and I

Think cool FM did another Cool School event and they they did a few and they did one in Tottenham as well I remember bringing my nephew which is Jay stats you know I remember bringing him to to the Cool School event and they’ve they’ve never forgotten it

You know and and that’s what it does That’s The Power of cool FM as the power of what they did and it’s a generational thing moving on into 2003 you know I I do recall me um playing at fabric Club fabric that was huge you know Club

Fabric was huge I mean I I did a true players Knight a couple of times and I do recall me playing the Knight with Marcus intellect another real incredible DJ incredible producer who had passed away rest in peace Marcus intellect you know what I mean because you know his

Tunes are incredible you know what I mean you know anyone can tell you you know that that what Marcus intellects as a producer what he has produced to to to the masses is is incredible you know we we were doing um places like France you

Know L N9 weeks on a trot every Thursday um religiously on the train going to club a1f club atomics and you know really making a huge Market I mean people like MC rage was with us that time DJ probe IC free and you know a few others that you know can’t mention

Everybody but you know there’s a few other people there and it was DJ abis who was the the promoter out there and you know we we did we did a load of things so cool cool FM Club tour nights in UK Maidstone uh Clapton Clon on SE it was

Brilliant it’s all as a family has to be said because you know these things get tucked away if you don’t really emphasize them if you don’t bring them back up just to touch on on that year was also Club Loco Club Loco was down Chan cross which is tot just off of Tottenham

Court Road opposite the aoria DJ Ron Rand he was the proprietor for the for the for the knights yeah well good nights you know I was a resident DJ down there moose was resident down there uh Jumping Jack Frost was playing down there also these times were really really great and really really

Significant to the scene as a whole because it we had richer Outlets you know places where you would hardly find drum and bass but it was nice to see that you know we were able to have those Avenues and thank you to those guys for obtaining those those

Venues because you know you never forget them and I remember I played there at M Swift was down there and we did this night and this lady named Hino she came up to me and she she was like oh I tell you know I’d like like

You to come and play this to her party you know from there ended up doing um hino’s party at her house in um Crouch end I think it was the funny thing about that story was right I remember being on the bus in Crouch end I was on I was on

The top deck and I looked around and I saw DJ storm and she was just at the back and I turned around I said oh and she went oh my God you know mean we know obviously I’ve on storm for a long time from like she used to play a lot of uh

Venues like end club and places like that and it was really nice to see her and do in a quick catch up and then obviously I had to jump off the bus to get to hos and um but she was a really nice lady actually H Co is really nice lady

She she um helped me with certain other little things you know just like little little things to do with concentration and some of you guys may verify that I think she spoke highly of Dillinger too so she was quite well known yeah so so I mean you know there was other other

Clubs Central and um I used to be that what you would call resident DJ yeah resident DJ and it was really nice to every week religiously permeate the music and delivered to the masses haty Central was really good I remember MC shabber being up there and all the guys used to

Be up there and you know Ronnie size played up there and um DJ Ron was the proprietor of that you know that was roughly around 2004 at that sort of time I remember even going in the studio um where I used to live I used to have my

Own Studio I used to go to G CMC fats and so one time I invited him around and um we were in the studio and GQ was obviously a great great friend of mine also you know he happened to just pop in it wasn’t even it wasn’t occasion it

Wasn’t even occasion for studio time or anything like that so you know these guys sort of came around to the house actually you know I lived in in in um hatney hatney Whit beer and you know they we’re all mes so they just popped around the house

And I had the studio happened to have the studio there and MC FS sort of picked up the mic and he just like you know after a few a few vocal you know they did a few vocals and you know said a few things and you know that was a

That was a real blessing to just have fats come up and do a little you know tiny little spill on on um on the mic and you know happen to get it down anyway you know I happen to get it down and you know I I still I mean we’re

Talking a good 20 years ago right we’re talking a good 20 years ago and I still got those vocals and and I incidentally I made a chune I made a chw and I gave it to fats and and um at first it was like great stuff and then obviously

After listening to it carefully as you do you know FS came back back and he goes he go you know you need to change this and you need to do this and you need to do that and I was like you know you know constructive criticism and you

Know I’ll never forget that because it was important fact was very particular about you know how a tune may sound and he knew when a sound a tune sounded great he you know he just knew instantly if it sounded rubbish excuse the you know if it sounded you know what he

Would just throw it to one side and tell you exactly what he what he was thinking but it’s like Ray Keef like when I when I used to bring my tracks to Ray keeth and I used to wanted to get some real uh feedback and Ry Ray used to give me um

Constructive criticism as well and used to bring it down to Black Market and he used to say I you know why don’t you do you know what direction do you want to go this that and it kind of gave me a good constructive criticism and likewise you know FS was the same as

Well that was roughly around 2004 four I remember you know that year incidentally that year I think it was rain Dan’s 11th birthday at se1 yeah um and that went off a treat Camera camera right um we’re in the rain dance we’re actually in a chill out Arena at the moment um it’s been okay almost it’s only early and this thing goes on till 9:00 but it was it was Heavy to start off with I did my set over DJ itol well

I played down there Richard um from rain dance called me up you know had a real cracking time down there it was you know obviously rain dance caters for the hardcore events and at that time we were playing Tunes like Warhead and you know those types of tunes and we had an

Arena where it was a mixture of music so when I came on you know the the guys who know Loy and all these guys um you know who I haven’t heard from them from from the longest time but you know they were there these guys were all being B and

People from very foreign descent were were playing there also you know from H Happy Hardcore right I mean deep Happy Hardcore not no joke team there’s big DJs down there and I played down there in in one of the main Arenas and before me I think it was zinc and then it was

Some other guy and then it was me so that was real a really good night broy also played down there I remember DJ brocky played down there it was an incredible night once again lasers robots you know all sorts of figures going on down they they they rain dance

Really brings it home to what it used to be you know they’ve always had that kind of authenticity about about their Raves and you know incredible times you know I mean we’re talking we’re talking about the club was filled with people absolutely filled with people and these are The Arches underneath near London

Bridge yeah brilliant night brilliant times absolutely excellent times 2005 moved and had my own Studio down in hatney Wick where now it’s like the Olympic Park you know I had my my studio there and you know I built that studio purpose-built studio with my friend my good friend yustas and Leroy Le’s high

Power he came down and helped me with the build as well and I do remember Surge from full cycle used to come down and see me also many of you guys may know Serge and you know he used to be giving me some pinpoint is about

What I should be doing with tracks and things like that which is a great Insight with these guys you know I mean full cycle Bristol boys and all those guys but um but yeah Serge used to come down to the studio a a great great old

Time I also ran a night called styling which was just around the corner from Blue Note which is near turnmills club called Club subber also happens to be around the corner from from fabric so I ran a night there as well um it was only

You know just for a moment or two but you know started dipping my hands in different pies and when when when I started to do the diverse recordings and get the studio up and running and all this sort of stuff we also did live nights called diverse soul with DJ

String at uh the bar at the corner of hatney Empire I had um uh people like Uncle Dougs came down and did a set we had live live band we had two two singers with you know playing piano vocalist guitarist drummer sirel who was a drummer I think sirel DJ Ron knows him

As well yeah he was our drummer so we also had a night up in uh Islington I used to have this singer songwriter guitar player named B humble which was incredible you I mean she’s spot on she is well known in the game of what she

Does yeah so you know um we just done a whole L of nights you know what I mean also I remember when we did the Club on the corner of hatney Empire I remember Smurf uh came down and done some filming for me as well um so that was great you

Know Smurf who used to run cool FM with Eastman yeah and not forgetting Suzie G you know not forgetting suszie G she’s the backbone of cool FM and jungle fever and that sort of time around 2005 2006 I was on knowledge magazine I think one in

Japan um where I had like a mix mix compilation all sorts of stuff but so so so like you know when you look at it from the early stage of what I did by virtue of that all this other stuff had had really manifest itself it to to what

The music had done you know what I mean and as I mentioned earlier on about you know how this m music manifest itself you know and the journey that it’s taken is um pretty incredible pretty incredible
