Wir besichtigen die verdonschlucht mit Quad und sehen die erste Geier.

Unsere Reise durch Frankreich und Spanien in Winter 2023 führt uns auf ein unvergessliches Abenteuer! Von der atemberaubenden Skyline Monacos bis hin zu den Verdonschlucht – wir erleben alles hautnah. Trotz einiger Hindernisse, Suche wir nach einem geeigneten Übernachtungsplatz bei Monaco , lassen wir uns nicht aufhalten. In Antibes finden wir schließlich unseren perfekten Rückzugsort am Strand, umgeben von der beruhigenden Brandung. Der nächste Tag führt uns zur spektakulären Verdonschlucht, wo wir mit unserem Quad die beeindruckende Landschaft erkunden. Zwischen engen Tunneln und schwindelerregenden Bergpfaden genießen wir die Schönheit der Natur. Obwohl wir nicht bis zum Gipfel gelangen konnten, bieten uns die Ausblicke und die Begegnung mit Geiern unvergessliche Momente. Trotz der einbrechenden Dunkelheit genießen wir jede Minute dieser Reise .

It’s finally here again! We are heading to France and Spain. Everything goes as planned, we spend the night in Switzerland because we want to photograph the skyline of Monaco the next evening. Previously we wanted to take the quad bike around the city’s Formula 1 track.

Unfortunately, due to a traffic jam, we didn’t arrive in Monaco until it was dark. But we still managed to take a few pictures of the small but beautiful principality. Unfortunately, finding a parking space with the trailer was very difficult.

After we had been unsuccessfully looking for a suitable place to stay overnight for a while, we decided to go to Antibes. We knew there was a nice spot on the beach where there were always lots of RVs. We arrived here late in the evening.

After a quiet night, we were woken up in the morning by the sound of the waves. Waves woke us up, we enjoyed the early morning in pleasant temperatures and thought about what we could do while the sun was already providing its soothing warmth.

We were unsure whether we should go back to Monaco or continue to the Verdon Gorge. After Don also enjoyed the sun, we continued our journey. Finally we decided on the Verdon Gorge because it piqued our curiosity. On the way we made a stop to have breakfast. Delicious baked rolls from Omnia.

The path to the gorge was already very breathtaking and gave us a little taste of what to expect. We were already absolutely thrilled by the surroundings here. When we reached the gorge we were overwhelmed. A small river meandered through the mountains and left a lasting impression.

It continued upwards along a narrow mountain path, and I had difficulty keeping my eyes on the road and not constantly looking down into the gorge. We drove through overhangs of the mountain and through narrow little tunnels as we got higher and higher. It was just a dream.

Almost at the top, we couldn’t go any further with the motorhome because a sign indicated that only vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes were allowed. So we unloaded the quad and drove on. During the trip we already saw vultures circling and hoped that we could get some of them better on camera.

After a short drive, we stopped at a parking lot and looked over the barrier. The view was breathtaking – the terrain dropped steeply for hundreds of meters. We stayed here for quite a while, despite the temperature being only 4 degrees Celsius.

After a while we finally had the first vulture in front of the camera. Unfortunately it was very far but it was the first of many on this holiday. Therefore, continue to accompany us on our journey. The journey continued as time was running out and we wanted to find a parking space before dark.

We drove uphill and stopped several times, totally fascinated by this gorge. Finally we returned to the motorhome and loaded the quad again. We drove back the same way and continued our journey towards Montpellier. Since we had stayed in the gorge for too long,

We only reached our campsite after dark and were therefore unable to take any pictures. In the next video we reach Montpellier and explore the area on our quad.
