The Netherlands has a unique signposted network of rural cycle routes (‘landelijke fietsroutes’ in Dutch; LF-routes for short). They are especially designed for cycle trips lasting several days and for cycling holidays. The routes lead you through the most beautiful regions of our country.
The routes are signposted in two directions, indicated as a or b. LF-routes are clearly indicated by rectangular signs alongside the road. The network is linked to another network: the junction cycle network, for daytrips.
There are many different places to spend the night along the LF-network…
…from rural campsites to hiker huts, and from hostels to four-star hotels. Welcome to Cycling Holland.
