Cuz it’s not uh too dissimilar to what it’s going to be in a couple weeks time we’ll head to Spain and the Canary Islands to do grandi that 700 km gville ride across five of the islands in the canas so yeah let’s just look at the bik

Briefly and talk about it so ‘re going to go straight to talk about gearing have decided to actually stay as it is because cost and things like that um rather than spend money getting new gear to give myself some lower gears and increase the range I thought i’ save one

Instead put it towards a new bike for the Great British esap pad which takes part take place in in uh beginning of June so I’m going to do that instead it’s a 40 chain ring at the front talked about trying to make that a little bit uh smaller unfortunately it’s it’s quite a

Lot involved in doing that it’s a 42 uh cassette on the rear grx the 810 series I think alwh on the bike um terms of luggage of things got tailin AO pack on there just turn the light on while I remember um rain tracking on top which might be putting

On soon cuz it’s actually surprisingly cold I came out with Engish gloves today as well um as I showed you earlier and now I’m kind of regretting it anyway back to the bike uh on the top tube well underneath the top tube I’ve got uh the tent for this evening or tent pegs

Rather the tent is in here in fact hanging off the forks on one of the tail finin cages so surprisingly it’s managed to fit in there got a couple water bottles on box of tools and tricks exposure light on the front which is yes it’s gra a strange configuration

But I managed to get it in there hanging off the bottom of the G arming Mount we’ve got a secondary light from o light which is surprisingly good for you know not particularly expensive light well this is definitely going with me it’s a tail fin top Che bag it’s crammed

With bits of uh bits of Bobs today uh few repair bits and the uh Power Bank as well I know when I do gr guanche that will be going with me but I’ve been looking at one of those uh Trail packs it kind of latches onto the but holders

And pushes it forward a bit and creates a little space behind it um just hiding underneath the saddle got chly toe there um I think that is about it um got mud guards on today those will be staying at home I’m not taking those across the

Caneras with me what else is I think that’s pretty much it um so today’s a bit of a training ride and just to go out enjoy myself and you know what not got a cap on um yeah we taking a cap with meing as well um yes extra load carrying lots of

Stuff lot of stuff here won’t be taking with me to the canaras so it’s uh um yeah you know it’s like here you try to keep extra warm in Winter oh yeah and up front a pump as well hanging off the other side of the pork anyway I’m going

To decide what I’m going to do in terms of getting dressed in things I might have to C my legs off I don’t know decide we going to go down there with up but thought I show you through the bipe cuz it’s actually it’s not far from

Well you know where it is basically I’ve just gone over the uh top of the A1 onto a side road which eventually became this right time for the big Light red light there we go 22 and 1 half hours yeah it’s not quite 100% Charged going take this opportunity to uh mention that I bought one of support sales from exposure lights as well well which I guess will effectively double the uh biting capacity really so 24 hours I’ll get to maybe 48 hours out of it hello deers today I’ve arrived at the forest

Pedals at all I was just not going anywhere so I was like kind of I made an assumption that’s that’s what it was again and I was like oh my God what I’m going to do so rang somebody up can you pick me up no I’ve been drinking um so

Like okay I’m nearly here now so I told you there’s a trail Center here I’ll see them in the morning they can fix it for me I managed to get to uh somewhere in the light uh we roll my bike up to a sign which was all lit up and I think

Looked down the bike all it was was the chain had come off oh I was so relieved actually but at the same time felt really stupid um just that’s what you get for making assumptions is it probably happened when I stopped to pop the bike up and have a you know have an

Nature break and I bet there was a twig or something lifted the chain off that’s what it must have been cuz literally as I stopped that’s what it happened so uh yeah all good again um just about to set myself up in a spot so yeah all good now uh just about to
