Ilia Levada – Cycle “Metamorphoses” for solo violin
Ilia Levada’s piece, written in 2023, represents a metamorphosis of the behavior of different people confined in a space without the ability to communicate. The music may seem unfathomable at first, but it gradually draws the listener in, sparking curiosity about what comes next. It is somewhat expressive, meditative at times, ultimately reflecting the concept of metamorphoses.
The pieces by the composers from Kharkiv offer a rich field for reflection, resonating with the hearts of listeners, especially those experiencing circumstances similar to the turbulent realities faced by millions of Ukrainians during the Russian-Ukrainian war. The project coordinators are Volodymyr Bohatyrov, Polina Kordovska, Ivan Ostapovych, and Taras Demko.
