A wonderful day at Roker Beach in Sunderland in the Northeast of England with Bracken our Cocker Spaniel. Roker Beach is a great place to park up, and walk the dog and is a fantastic place for paddleboarding, swimming or just splashing around in the sea.
Popular activities are canoeing and kayaking, cycling, fishing, jet skiing, sailing, walking, and windsurfing. There are pleasant walks with dramatic views, and at the right time of year, you might spot dolphins in the sea off the beach, pier, or lighthouse. There is a lifeguard service at this beach and basic toilet facilities at regular intervals. Parking can be busy, but there is plenty and also free parking for Blue Badge Holders in the disabled bays.
