Among the top 2,000 companies in the world, the United States accounts for 611 and Europe has only more than 370. The market value of these companies is 1.8 times higher than that of Europe. However, the total population of the United States is 30% less than that of Europe. Only seven American companies

Are Magnificent 7. The market value is almost equal to the sum of the market value of all listed companies in EuropeNext plus the London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Börse . The per capita GDP of the United States is 1.65 times that of the United Kingdom and twice that of the European Union.

It is logical that the per capita salary in the United States is also higher than that of Europeans. A European can buy 2.4 iPhones per month on a salary , while an American can already buy almost six iPhones on a salary . Europe started its industrial revolution in the 1760s,

And the United States was only founded in 1776, which is 100 years later than Europe. The industrial revolution began in 2000 , but the GDP per capita of the United States has surpassed twice that of Europe in just ten years. Why is the United States, such a young country, leading Europe

? And as investors, how should we view this future investment ecology? The United States has always been We have always attached great importance to scientific and technological research and development. From the early World War II era, breakthroughs in important technologies such as

Radar and nuclear energy helped the United States win the Second World War. During the Cold War , we landed on the moon and the development of personal computers also made the United States a leader in the world. It has long occupied this leading position.

Technology is as important as the heart of the United States. In 2021, Biden will propose the American Innovation and Competition Act. The United States has always spent much more money on scientific research than Europe . Of course, the more you invest in research and development, the more

The country will develop. The faster the speed, like Israel, its R&D expenditure is 5.56% of GDP, which is the highest in the world, so their economy has also taken off in just 30 years. But if we look at Europe, their investment in technological research and development is only the United States. One-fifth of

China’s investment in artificial intelligence is half of China ‘s , and the United States’ investment in artificial intelligence is 50 times that of Europe. Such a large amount of capital investment has also created 8 of the 10 largest technology companies in the

World (slip of the tongue) are all from the United States. Of course, the company is the most important thing for the development of the United States , so how can we not mention its reserve currency status and capital market? After World War II, the United States, as the victorious

Country, had strong political and economic influence . In 1944, the Bretton Woods Conference also consolidated the status of the U.S. dollar as the global reserve currency. At that time, the U.S. dollar was pegged to gold, and other currencies were linked to the U.S. dollar. The success of the peg

Has made the U.S. dollar the main currency for global trade and financial transactions. Suppose that the Korean company RainIsHere Group, in order to find a safe and stable income investment opportunity, sees the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency. Central banks and investors in so many countries

Hold it. I also think that a large amount of US dollar assets are safe , so RainIsHere also wants to buy US Treasury bonds or US listed stocks and other assets , so RainIsHere will convert these Korean won into US dollars and then use these US dollars to buy US stocks and bonds.

The whole action The increased demand for U.S. dollar assets has also made the United States the world’s number one destination for foreign direct investment. The large inflow of FDI and this treasury bond investor have allowed the United States to maintain low interest rates for a long time

And reduce the cost of borrowing money for the entire government and enterprises. So if we talk about the capital market, we should also mention VC Venture Capital. Venture capital is a type of investor that specializes in providing funds to new start-ups with high growth potential

. Because investing in new start-ups is a high-risk project , VC is also called a venture capitalist. Venture capital plays a very important role in the entire technology development because it provides funds for early-stage start-up technology companies and helps them guide the company’s management and strategy to improve their start-up success rate

In 2022. The value of venture capital transactions in the United States in 2017 was 241 Billion, which is 1.16 times that of Europe. These venture capital investments have successfully nurtured many large American technology companies. Over the past ten years, more than 60% of the IPOs of technology companies listed in the United States

Were funded by venture capital. With financial support , the scientific research power of the United States not only successfully dominates the development of science and technology around the world, but also dominates the capital market. Therefore, as an investor, you will not miss this investment opportunity in U.S. stocks, especially in these technology companies.

Everyone who has read my platform will Knowing that my main investment is in the US stock market, I found my favorite US stock information platform, Seeking Alpha, to sponsor this video. I rarely recommend this information platform , but many people ask me all the time

, and I think Seeking Alpha is really good. It’s easy to use because the best thing about it is that it can shorten all the time I spend doing homework. The entire platform has more than 10,000 analyzes every month , ranging from stocks, index stock funds, mutual funds to commodities, cryptocurrencies

, etc. Different information. For example, everyone says I want to buy this hot AI stock NVIDIA. Suppose I don’t understand NVIDIA at all . Then the entire platform can help you do the first round of screening . For example, if you enter the stock code here, you can preview

It. What are the basic conditions of all the stocks? Before you start to do an in-depth stock value model, you can first look at the Factor Grades. For example, the stock value here is now F , which means that the stock is very expensive

, but the growth and profitability of the stock, etc. are all They are all A Grade. You can also compare his ranking in the industry. At a glance, you can roughly know what his quantitative rating is in the semiconductor industry. If you want to continue to do in-depth research

, you can also take a look at the analysis between him and his peers in the industry . How come it also provides 10 years of financial data analysis and a lot of special research , so I think it is very easy to use. This is the exclusive link of RainIsHere.

If you use this link to log in, all viewers can enjoy a 7-day free trial of Seeking Alpha Premium. If you like it, there is a limited-time 25% discount to subscribe. For details, you can check out the link below. In addition to scientific research,

The economic and culture of the United States and Europe are very different. To put it simply, the United States prioritizes companies and Europe prioritizes workers. For example, Microsoft will fire 10,000 employees in 2023. The severance package is about 800 million , which means that each person is 80,000 US dollars.

The cost of the entire restructuring is equal to about 5.9 months of the median salary , while Google is about 7.5. monthly severance pay Meta’s severance pay was even lower , only 4 months, while Twitter’s severance pay was 3 months. After Microsoft streamlined its manpower, it saved some money

And immediately invested a large amount of money in OpenAI within a few months . Then Google also fired more than 10,000 employees. Employees also changed their minds within a few months and saved money to invest in AI. Therefore, under a business-first culture, even if a ship as big as an American company

Has to turn around quickly , it can still do the opposite to a big ship in Europe. It will take much longer. For example, European technology companies Nokia, SAP and Ericsson have also announced a series of restructuring plans . Taking Nokia as an example, the company’s sales fell sharply last year.

However, according to local labor laws in Europe, Nokia needs to apply today. If you want to lay off people , you have to wait two years until 2026 before they can really start laying off people and cutting wages . Yes, this is sad. Workers in the United States do not have as many

Protections as in Europe , but American companies can quickly turn around, which is actually very beneficial to the company. Working hours in European countries are often shorter than those in the United States . The maximum working hours in France is 35 hours , while the federal government in the United States

Has not set a maximum working hour. Of course, European workers have better working and resting hours , but if you want to make a European It will be very difficult for companies to operate around the clock . The United States is also number one in the world in terms of talent competition.

Seven of the top ten universities in the world are still in the United States and the other three are in the United Kingdom. Young people in the world tend to go to the best schools . Most of these schools naturally send top talents from all over the world

To the United States because they are in the United States . Of course, after studying, some of them will choose to stay in the United States to continue working or even start a business. The United States is very active in grabbing IT talents. 10-20% Students can stay in the United States to work

, and one out of every five STEM graduates with a high degree will stay and work in the United States. The United States desperately wants to retain these STEM talents. The graduation visa time for these students is longer than that for students in non-STEM subjects. On the contrary, the UK is very soft

On grabbing talents. Only 3.5% of people can get this work visa after graduation. It is logical that STEM has also allowed the US technology industry to flourish. The entire industry is so mature , and at the same time it attracts more talents and resources to form a Positive cycle.

In the past ten years or so, 45% of immigrants in the United States are highly educated. On the contrary, the same figure is only 29% among EU immigrants. You may not know that they have become 65% of the top AI companies in the United States. The founders were originally immigrants , and

55% of the largest startups with assets of more than 1 billion US dollars were originally founded by immigrants. It would be great if they could attract more high-quality people like Elon Musk. Talents went to the United States to establish Starlink and Tesla. It’s really incredible.

In fact, the EU knows that they need to attract talents as early as possible. As early as 2016, they also started to propose revising the Blue card visa to attract high-quality talents . But everyone in the EU knows that there are Different countries have different considerations,

And there has never been a consensus. It will be delayed until 2021, a full 6 years later to implement the entire visa bill reform . Therefore, a single country can actually do better than an EU composed of so many countries. It’s much more convenient.

There are only three stock exchanges and one clearing house in the United States to complete transactions in the entire capital market. In comparison, the structure in Europe is much more complicated . Basically every country has its own exchange . Let this capital liquidity be dispersed. They all have different legal

And taxation administrative regulations , so even if a regulation is to be implemented in the EU, it will be much more complicated than in the United States . So as investors, how should we view this future investment ecology ? Of course, we We cannot ignore the U.S. market. The average return of

The Dow Jones technology industry index in ten years is as high as 20%. I have not yet seen any market industry in the world that can surpass them. On the contrary, the largest industry in Europe is industry , such as automobiles, aviation, defense, etc. However, Their ten-year average market index

Is only 6% return . Of course, the entire U.S. technology industry is very broad, not just the AI that everyone talks about. When you get started, you should first understand that there are different industries in AI. I have mentioned these before. The top leading companies include cyber security, Cyber Security , Cloud computing

, semiconductor industry , and biotechnology industry. The United States has many top biomedical research institutions and pharmaceutical companies , including cancer DNA sequencing , and many different breakthrough developments. We should also pay attention to new energy industries such as electric vehicles, solar energy, wind energy, etc. Although the U.S. stock market

Is generally the best investment tool , its valuation has been too high for a long time, resulting in high volatility in the entire stock market. In addition, the U.S. The U.S. debt continues to hit new highs and the government’s fiscal deficit expands . This will reduce investors’

Confidence in the U.S. government’s ability to repay its debt . In the long run, it will increase the interest expenses of the entire U.S. government or force the U.S. to maintain a higher interest rate to borrow money. If the borrowing costs If it is really high, it will inhibit the economic growth

. Therefore, as investors, we must diversify our investment portfolio. In addition to US stocks, we can also invest in Asian markets with strong fundamentals , or in European markets, there are also low-valued but strong stocks. In fact, the company can also consider this action to help you diversify

The risk of over-concentration in the US market . When judging whether a stock is worth buying, you must do this Apple to Apple comparison. Seeking Alpha has a feature that I like very much, which is Peers. For example, you can see that some large European companies are also listed in the United States

, such as Shell. You can compare it with its competitors. Here you will compare Debt Operating Income Gross Profit and so on. These important financial figures can be clearly displayed on a platform with one picture to compare all of them at once. Of course, the company’s information, the most important profitability

And growth capabilities, you can also see them all here, so it really saves me a lot of time. Everyone should know that the United States will soon enter this interest rate cut cycle , so everyone should pay attention to this currency. Turn risk: If the U.S. dollar depreciates relative to the euro,

It means that the return on your investment in the European market will increase when you convert it back to U.S. dollars. If you are a U.S. stock investor , you can also use some foreign exchange hedging tools to protect yourself from exchange rate fluctuations. Impact

: Although I just spent a lot of time talking about the American technology market , there are actually many traditional industries in Europe , such as manufacturing, which are also good. For example, in the aviation field, Europe has one of the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers , as I mentioned before. Fashion luxury brands

Such as LVMH Hermes, etc., there are also many large and good companies in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals , such as Novo Nordisk Semiconductor, ASML , and other automotive industries . If we don’t talk about the economy and investment , I don’t think so . The future of mankind is AI. I really think so.

If AI is really successful and can meet the basic needs of housing, food and clothing for people on earth, humans may actually go back to pursue some spiritual needs in the future , such as philosophy, psychology, art and music . Wait, they may have a new demand.

Then I don’t know if you think it is. If I see a painting now, maybe there is a piece of music, and they tell me that the listening is done by AI. I don’t know why I seem to have lost it all of a sudden. That connection is what I think

It is! ok AI, ah, it’s AI again. I think that if AI really becomes popular, after a period of time, people may actually want to go back to the things created by human beings that were closer to nature and have a cultural atmosphere. After all, we are preserving human beings. In fact, Europe

Does have advantages in terms of culture, history, philosophy, etc. So do you think the spiritual needs of mankind will disappear in the future because of AI ? Let me remind you that Seeking Alpha is offering a 25% discount until April 3rd. Just remember to use my exclusive link

To try it out for free. Today I am sharing it here . If you like this video, remember to click like, leave a message and subscribe to Bye Bye.
