    1. bob, thanks for some of those italian words. i was wondering how 'easy' it is to just pack up your bike and go without speaking much italian like, my first experience in france was so great because of the 'office du tourisme' – an 'office' in almost every city open for tourists where you can go to have almost any question answered, free maps, etc. usually speak english. it just makes travelling by bike so much easier. anything like that in italy? easy to make reservations? do you recommend hotels, b&b's??? thanks!

    2. Hey Bob. In the summer I will be cycling in Italy on my Batavus touring bike (zonar comfort). Part of my journey will be from Pavia through to the Rovegno area and to the coast (La Spezia). Do you have experience cycling in this area? I've seen that the elevation is going to be difficult. Do you have any tips or info?

      thanks!!

    3. Ciao Bobke, I agree wholeheartedly. I'd also add an alternative trip from Chianciano Terme, passing through Montepulciano (wine) and Piena (for the pecorino cheese) over to Castiglion Fiorentino (where I live and work). If you're on the bike with a group or solo, stop in and see some custom ti frames getting welded up and get a doppio d'espresso. Have a great ride and thanks for the video!~
