Closely related ordinances one the sabatical year and the Year of Jubilee these ordinances were God’s means of bringing about rest one for God’s people two for the land itself for the land itself the sabbatical year rest for the land itself and then for God’s people Leviticus 35
Verse 2 speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them when you come into the land which I give you then shall the land keep a Sabbath unto the Lord the land itself and then rest for his people so sabatical year rest for the land and then rest for God’s people
And then we read about the Year of Jubilee in verse it was telling us we will come to that later so this chapter begins with this recurrent phrase the Lord spake unto Moses God was speaking to Moses directly and Moses was speaking to the children of Israel it shows the
Faithfulness of God of Moses of God’s servant Moses it also reveals God’s lordship God’s sovereignty God’s authorship and this phrase was used about 99 times in the first five books of the Bible and the Lord speak unto Moses and the Lord speak unto Moses what does this teach us
Is the Lord speaking anything to you in these days do you hear from God is God Sovereign in your life as God was speaking to Moses the same words he was speaking Moses was speaking to the children of Israel that’s to show Moses faithfulness and then the sovereignty of
God is God speaking anything to us today Point One Sovereign Proclamation of saal year proclamation of the sabatical Year Genesis 2 verse 2 and 3 because we have read Le 2 Genesis 2 verse 2 and proclamation of the sabbatical year Genesis chapter 2 says and on the
Seventh day God ended his work which he had made and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made and God blessed the seventh day and Sanctified it that in it he rested from all his work which God created and made yeah the children of Israel were
Commanded to till the ground for six years then allow the land to lie follow on the seventh year this seventh year was to be a Sabbath day of rest a Sabbath year of rest for the land the sabbatical year was God’s idea and God also partt in it as we saw in Genesis
Chapter 2 however they were permitted to eat the crops that grew of their own accord not the ones that they planted themselves they were permitted to eat the crops that grew out of their own accord during the Sabbath year besides this God in the sixth year we read that again such
That the seventh year they will have enough to eat and because they not planting in the seventh year there will be nothing for them to eat in the eighth year so God will have to bless them threefold let’s read that in Leviticus chapter 25 and in verse
20 and if you shall see par you are wondering what are we going to eat if you are saying a whole year of rest what are we going to eat if you shall say what shall we eat the seventh year behold we shall not sow nor Gather in
Our increase verse 21 then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year and shall bring forth fruit for 3 years what does that tell us number one God is concerned about everything he created you me the land the Beast the animals God is interested God is concerned about everything he
Created for the fact that he thought about what they will eat if you have proclaimed a whole year of rest he said he will command his Blessing for three years in the sixth year that will be able to cater for them for this next three years I pray that God will provide
For us in Jesus name I can’t hear our amen and another thing God commanded them to walk for 6 years before they rest for one year what does this tell us God discourages laziness they were to work for six years and then rest for one year God discourages laziness another
Thing it brings to the four the principle of rest after War you can see how God created heavens and earth in six and on the seventh day he rested he brings to Bear the principle of rest after walk as God himself rested SP on the seventh day after creation number
Four there is final and eternal rest for All Saints there after our labor on Earth is finished there is final and eternal rest for All Saints must for Sinners for All Saints in Hebrews 4:9 where it says therefore there remain a rest to the people of God praise the
Lord Point number two sent purposes of the Year of Jubilee what’s the Year of Jubilee what’s what what does it imply Leviticus 25 verse 8 to13 and thou shall number seven sabbaths it says and thou sh count th shall number seven sabbaths of years unto thee seven times seven years and
The space of the seven sabbaths of the years shall be unto thee 40 and N years I take that again and thou sh count seven Sabbath of years unto thee seven time seven years and the space of the seven Sabbath of years shall be unto
Thee 40 and N years thou shall cause the trumpet of Jubilee to sound in the 10th day of the seventh month in the day of atonement shall you make the trumpet sound throughout all your land and you shall hallow the 50th year and Proclaim Liberty throughout all the
Land to all the inhabitants unto you and you shall return every man unto his possession and ye shall return every man into his family praise the Lord the Year of Jubilee was after every seventh sabbatical year Year of Jubilee was after every seventh sabatical year the sabbatical year was every seventh year
And the year after the seventh sabbatical year that means 50th year was The Year of Jubilee the proclamation of this Jubilee was hered by the sounding of the trumpet on the 10th day in the seventh month like we have just read what is the purpose of Jubilee Number
One release from bondage release from bondage it says in verse in verse 10 and he shall Hall the 50th year and Proclaim Liberty Liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof it shall be a jubilee unto you and he shall return every man every man every man onto his
Possession and return every man to his family release from bondage all the Hebrew servants that were hired that were not redeemed were to be released and allowed to go cut free of inheritance say shall return every man his possession I return every man into his family Number One release from bondage number two
Restoration of inheritances those who sold their property due to Poverty they were now to return all those things all their inheritances back to them number three reunion with family because of poverty they had sold themselves or sold their property you know they were now in slavery in their
Own land were to go spotfree and be reunited back to their families Israelites who had earlier been sold or who sold themselves to slavery to servitude were freed and could now be reunited with their families in this Year of Jubilee another purpose of Jubilee is a year of rest for the land
Itself how does this apply to W day Believers Jubilee typifies the work of Christ calv and the sounding of the trumpets can be likened to the great Proclamation on the cross where Christ said it is finished Christ sacrifice on the cross of Calvary brings us released from sin
And satanic bondage it brings reunion with god with God’s family and rest for our souls Sinners and biders are excluded from these privileges except they surrender their lives to God and it’s only in Christ we have true Jubilee Praise the Lord point three Sury precepts Sury precepts concerning the
Year of Jubilee Sury precepts concerning the year Leviticus chapter 25 verse4 to 17 and if thou sell or unto Thy Neighbor or buyest or of thy neighbor’s hand ye shall not oppress one another shall not take advant AG of one another according to the number of years after the Jubilee
Thou sh buy of thy neighbor and according to the number of years of the fruit he shall sell unto thee verse 16 according to the multitude of years thou shall increase the price thereof and according to the Fess of years that according to the Jubilee years if the
Years is far from Jubilee maybe after this year of jubile first year have another 49 years say you shall increase the price but if we are getting to the 48 year that means two more years to Jubilee you shall reduce the price those are precepts concerning the Year of
Jubilee number one a land bought close to the Year of Jubilee would only be used for a short period of time compared to the land bought just after Jubilee this is the principle of equity Believers should emulate the principle of equity Justice and fairness number two no land could be permanently
Sold as God is the owner of all the lands Psalm 24:1 says the Earth is the Lord and the fullness thereof the world and they that dwell therein no land be permanently so as God is the owner of all land number three God instructed them on how to handle poor Israelites who so
Their possessions due to Poverty the land will be bought back by close relatives or by themselves if God had blessed them no one own no one should be a refugee people shall not oppress the poor Indigent Israelites were to be catered to by those who had many um riches
Many many possessions indent Israelites could be cered to by those who had much means the Jubilee was a significant and remarkable year for the Israelites in fact a famous bible commentator summarizes the year of jubile as the 50th year to Proclaim Liberty to all people to start businesses all over
Again as at the beginning in fact at this time all mgage are cancelled all servants are released all bondages of men are knowed debts were forgiven lands were reverted back to the original owners new businesses start at the end of Jubilee till another year of release of 50 years in the
Future and this is similar to what Christ did for us release from oppression from bondages the price has been paid we have been bought the price and it’s only in Christ we have true Jubilee let’s close our eyes to pray it’s only in Christ we have true
Jubilee only in Christ we have true Freedom Christ has paid the price it is finished it is finished only in Christ we have true Freedom the Year of Jubilee the year of release from bondages Death forgiven death Cel are we really free Christ has paid the price or are we still in
Bondage we have been released we have been set free by Christ only in Christ we have true Jubilee only in Christ God also told them to rest rest rest there remain a rest for God’s people are you of’s people rest for God’s people only only Saints only Saints can enjoy true Jubilee true
Rest Sinners and biders are excluded from these privileges pray that we return to God this morning in Jesus mighty name we have pray thought I hear louder amen father we thank you for speaking to us about the Year of Jubilee we ask and pray that everything you have done for

Atonement so it signifies that Christ Christ is the atonement and we are we benefited from Christ death okay yeah thank you very much yeah brother Darius want to say something about the Year of Jubilee Hallelujah from the Sabbath so we have six days to rest or years or days so H
The seventh day is the day of rest so the same thing with years so we have a Sabbath day so since we have the Sabbath day as the seventh year so after the seventh Sabbath that sabbatical year 7777 after the seventh of the seventh which is the 49th year the 50th year
Becomes the Jubilee of the Lord right where the Lord where all the people of Israel slaves are released and de death are cancelled and people are like the land is not going to be cultivated at the 50th year so the years before the Lord will bless them in the sixth that
Is the 49th year and the Lord will bless them so that they 50th year the blessing that will take it and the 51st year so I think that’s the summary I can say here thank you very much brother darus thank you very much now a very concise summary is given to
Us okay so we’ve got the Sabbath the sabatica and then the Jubilee so it’s going to be normal like we walk six days and then we rest seven days so we’re doing lots of our farming all of our activities for seven years sorry for six
Years and in the seventh is a time of rest isn’t it and we’ll repeat that cycle seven times and then we’ll have the Jubilee year where people are set free slaves are set free our lands that has been bought and now released it’s like when you have le old when you buy a
House in the UK places like England they have what they call Le hold a lot of houses here in Scotland is freeold you know it’s like a Le hold and you hand over the land back to the original owner yeah so we’ve actually learned lots of interesting thing into to this lesson
And um there’s three things I want to talk about in this summary this afternoon and the three things I want to discuss is number one rest number two restoration and number three release now the first one is rest you know right from scriptures we all understand how the world was created
And there was rest at the seventh day and now we see all that have been said here how the land needed to rest they’ve been King the soy they’ve been doing lot SS of things Cava maze wheat Millet everything from the soil and God said hey you’ve done that for six years the
Seventh Year let it recuperate let it come back to itself now we’re living in a generation where we are very very busy and many at times we don’t find time to rest now we’re living in a time where we are so conscious we are so worried about consumption and accumulation where we
Don’t see rest as something that is important and to some other persons they see rest as a sign of weak weakness or laziness but it’s not a sign of weakness it’s a testament of your love for yourself it’s a testament of your appreciation of your wellbeing is a
Testament of the fact that you want yourself to to refuel to rejuvenate to nourish yourself back I spoke to one of our medical practitioners in church about some weeks ago that AG gelite program for the month of April is going to be on medical issues although we are
Going to change it for some reasons but we’re definitely going to have one of our doctors speak to us on this matter of rest want to look at the medical the scientific implication of rest how it affects our body you know many many of us coming from Africa from Nigeria and
Coming to this place is very different when I came here for my doctorate my wife had the experience and it was not very palatable and then she said to me like in a way it was better in poo than in abedin and I’ll tell you why because
In poot I go to work like 9 to 4: or 8 to 4 you know and sometimes I come back from work I even bring food pack to the house like we see ourselves every day but here mind in the UK I go for PhD and sometimes I’m back home 10 p.m.
Sometimes 10:30 she’s only in the house with a girl even when she started walking the life is some sometimes she goes to work at night so I’m out in the day PhD now I come back she’s been in the house in the day while I’m at work
When I’m coming she’s going so the problem right now in the UK is many of us were very busy about consumption and accumulation that we don’t see these things as affecting our life our relationship that of our spouse our partners and our children as well the
Way many of us grow back at home we grow in a system where you come back from school you you you like see your father and your mother every day but are not living in a world where sometimes you don’t even see your children because one
Of the parent is with the child during the day now before the other one comes one is already asleep I saw a clip on social media how a couple they were driving two cars they saw themselves along the road and they were all laughing at greetings one was going to
Work the other one was returning from work did anybody see something like that online that that is the life we are living here and we don’t know how it affects our relationship with our partner sometimes we lose ourselves gradually we don’t know the way the soil is losing its
Nutrient we live our children we don’t relate so much with them because we are busy about Gathering resources accumulating which is absolutely fantastic but we losing some things now the message today is rest and what does rest mean rest means after all of this cycle find like you don’t
Need pounds find some time to pretend like the money is not important and just rest and just stay with yourselves could be in the house could be traveling away from the house but find some time to consciously rest it’s not weakness it’s not laziness it’s a testament to your
Acknowledgement of the the the well-being for your own self your family and the people around you I saw something on I think Instagram one lady she was to have a date she had got to the cinema where she and the guy they were supposed to meet and then the guy
Had an emergency shift and you know shift sometimes they pay double at weekend so the guy be like I can’t come for this date I need to go to work now we’ve allowed these things to affect a lot our relationship we don’t even have time to love we don’t have time to build
Relationships we don’t have time to take care of ourselves our children because we are all out and about with this this money is important we must pay school fees I know but rest tell somebody rest number two is because of restoration rest restores think about it
You and your partner you’ve come to the UK and because of school fees while one is working at night the other one is during during the day I remember there was a time during my PhD brono like I stay in the lab to very late when my
Wife wants to go to work so we exchange Key by the door you know that kind of a thing I sleeping yes they are sleeping oh thank you thank you thank you to she enters and she zooms off and the gets already sleeping wake up the following morning the cycle
Continues find time to rest it restores relationship it restores your well-being it build yourself and your family find time to rest but when I talk about rest I’m not saying about laziness you know what the Bible says in Leviticus there it says that they will
Eat from what is in the store so you have w rest let’s not accumulate everything we can’t have all of the money recently we’ve seen lots of things I the story of a lady that just came to the UK I think maybe last year she was working in a support home she slumped
And she died and we’ve seen a couple of these stories one two three happening too often why because we’ve PID lots of money to come here or we have lots of school fees to meet and we don’t know we need to find some time to rest tell somebody rest rest restores number
Two is restore and number three before I leave the stage is release now in talking about release I’ll talk about two things there’s a free release and there’s the fourth release now you see the sabatical we see how people they are going to be released land will be released people will slaves
Will be released depth will be released now there’s a free release now many of us need to do this kind of sabatical year or this Jubilee year in our lives last week I was having a conversation with a family member and were’re talking about some uncles that
Didn’t help when they could have helped and this something that happened more than 30 years ago were discussing it just last week now there are many of us that we need to release on people from our heart that Uncle That was supposed to help you when there was no money you
Still did not forget this 25 years down the line release it from your heart and and move on that person that was supposed to do something for you or she the other is still in your mind that family member that brother it could even be your
Parent is still in your mind release let there be a free release when you release you see yourself you can fly a lot more many of us will carry lots of load lots of weight in our hearts in our mind in our psyche that is difficult for us to move
Because we are so loaded for you you need to release freely so that you can get to the next level you need to be light your partner has offended you you need to release and let go I read a story of somebody the human has come here and the husband now came
With the child and as they came immediately she said no we’re not doing again and lots of things C the Visa and everything later reading in the story you realize that they had issue back at home so the woman all her plan was immedately we cross enter this place oh
I’m going to deal with you and she actually indeed now people are doing these things but release forgive let it be free and the Lord will help us in Jesus name the last part before we pray fourth release now there is the free release you need to there’s also the
Fourth release now I’m going to read two passage of scriptures so you don’t be like hang on your you’ve not read any part in the Bible Turnin your Bibles with me to Proverbs Chapter 6 I’ll read in verse 5 so before you remind me I’ve not read
Anywhere in Proverbs chapter 6 in verse 5 deliver thyself as a ro from the hand of the hter and as a bed from the hand of the Fowler a roow is like an animal like an antelope now there might be some situations you’ve been captured you need to fight for your
Release you know in the year 1863 the President Abraham Lincoln made what he call the Emancipation Pro clation when he said that all the people that were slaves in some part of the United States as should be released somewhere somewhere not there are some political undertone in all of these
Stories so the point is where we talked about the sabatical here where there was going to be a free release but if you are in any situation that you know this is not where you should be you need to fight for your release the Bible says in
Isaiah chapter 49 I think in verse 24 it talks about the lawful captives and I went to study what is a lawful captive somebody that knowingly like willingly you gave yourself out by your doings or your undoings you give yourself up but even the lawful captives shall be delivered but that
Needs to be a for release there are situations you’re not happy with about your life about your family about your siblings about your partner you need to fight for your release I look at the Bible when the Bible says in verse five deliver thyself this is a fourth release deliver thyself
Thy deliver your own self like a ro like an antelope from the Hunter and as a bed from the Fowler a Fowler is who a bed Casher the person that goes hunting for bed for food for pleasure you need to deliver yourself a for release any situation that is not right concerning
You concerning your family fight for your release on your KNE anything holding you down in any area of your life or your family you are not happy with it each time you think about it each time you remember you are not happy fight for your release and the
Lord will grant us freedom that we deserve in Jesus name let’s close our eyes to pray I want you to pray I want you to pray there must be something you can ask God about there must be something you can pray about whatever it is I like you to
Pray what you need to let go and where you need to fight for your release and how you need to replan your life and schedule to know when to rest to be restored in Jesus name we pray almighty God we thank you this afternoon for your word we ask of you that will
Not be speakers or hearers but will be doers of these things and our life will Manifest this truth in Jesus name amen praise the Lord praise the Lord let’s be on our feet please we want to thank God for the session of sing the scripture Lee rest and restoration someone said there are

Him for the moment of worship if all the hairs on our head were to be tongues they would not be enough they would not be sufficient to worship God but here we are offering praises to God in the little way we can he is worthy of Our Praise let’s thank
Him in Jesus name we prayed we are going to pray for the remaining part of today’s service just like we prayed at the beginning of the service we are going to pray again that God will not pass you by today in Jesus name if you are here with a desire a
Burden you are here with something troubling your spirit troubling your mind something making you very uncomfortable you are going to pray and ask that the Lord today will roll your burdens away in Jesus name let us pray his word will be coming to us today
The Bible says he sent his word and he healed them let’s pray that the word we are going to hear day we bring healing to your soul healing to your spirit healing to your body in Jesus name let us pray let’s pray for the minister of God our pastor in
This church pray that God will continue to strengthen him even as he brings God’s word to us today that it will be accompanied with signs and wonders let’s also pray our region Pastor here in Scotland and even our general superintendent let’s pray that God’s blessings God’s Supernatural strength God’s anointing we continue to
Rest upon them in Jesus name let’s not forget to pray for the nation the United Kingdom and even Scotland let us pray that God will continue to inspire our leaders onto righteousness God will continue to direct their hearts to make policies that will benefit the people policies
That will help the growth of the nation in the name of Jesus I want us to pray for as many of our members who are not here today for one reason or the other those who are having one challenge or the other let’s pray let us pray for them let’s lift them up
Before the Lord let us ask that the Lord will reach out to them touch them heal those who are sick those who are discouraged the Lord with the joy of the Lord we cheer them up we be their strength those who are experiencing one difficulty or the other the Lord
Almighty we help them we pull them out of that difficulty let us pray those who are struggling with their finances let’s ask that the Lord Almighty will show them mercy and provide for them in Jesus name those who are looking for jobs and don’t have let’s pray that this week we
