Yep sturing keeps the pace on because they know thisa goes again 200 me to the top and now they hesitate now he gets a gap Pacha sees his moment and he’s trying to grab it with two hands 100 m to the top and last year’s winner Fondo

Knows he must blast across that Gap he’s doing so rather well at the minute the rest can’t follow right now it’s fatcha has he wanted to be alone but he’s only got about 20 M on Match of on AOL now the death def flying drop down above the

Green houses all the way the roads are dry conditions are optimal hold on breathe in and cross everything well it took poacha a couple of goes to get a gap he made the acceleration and M underp was caught a little bit out of position and had to really get himself

Out of trouble make the acceleration across he’s back onto the slipstream now of T Pacha but the Gap back to philipo Gana is very small pitcock can’t be far away and we know how he can descend but T Pacha he’s laid his cards on the table

From a long way out he knew he needed to split everything up he does not want the group behind to return with any fastman he’s throwing everything at this descent at least everything that he dares pitcocks going to set off in The Descent as well he’s there and we know how good

He is here taking Each corner beautifully and that’s a problem for Ghana that’s an issue for Ghana who’s looking down he’s back into it now gner it looked like gner was trying to dive in into the corner and let Pitcock go but Pon was around the outside and said not

With me I’m going to follow that wheel Pacha through the next a in Vanderpool comfortable pidcock he just swings his way through and closes the Gap yasper Phillips are still in this group let’s remind you Stan’s there Matthews is there bettiol I can see too that that

Looks like it’s mic as well pson of course alongside pitock following ther Paul following pachan at the back of the group bringing up the rail was mat soero pataa not giving anybody an easy ride vpol just giving a little bit of distance like we saw him do on the

Chessa just get enough of the slipstream but give himself a little bit of room for error if Pacha just goes too hard at it comes back at him under breakes pidcock all over the back wheel of Matthew vanderpol and he must be itching to go but there’s not enough hair pins

Left on the way down this probably for pitcock to build a gap and Pacha he is keeping the pressure on well poacha was he able to do enough damage there probably not he had his wish to go solo over the top but it was only about 20 M

Wasn’t it from F Paul who really had to make his move when he did because there was maybe a second more of hesitation and pogacha would have gone this is looking good for Pitcock though yeah Matthew VPO really had to go over the top there because had he not

Close the gap to Pacha All Eyes would have been on him to lead the chase pitcock passed Vanderpool and onto the wheel of T Pacha vanderpol just that rocking and rolling style when he gets under pressure and Ms Pon now returning and mahic mahic right on his will m p there

In the little Trek Jersey and Pacha so far has led every meter of this descent this is where maharic nearly put himself into the front room of that house the year he won comes there in fifth wheel this year in Pacha still winding things up pidcock just millimeters from the back wheel of

Pacha a regrouping at the bottom of the podjo with just a few hundred meters to go before they get on the flat roads head past the roundabout and head towards vioma and this is where it could get tactical this is where it could get interesting remember alaa King also have

A guess and here we go this is it this is mic number two if they don’t chase him well the is a signature move of maharic over the top and just go for it and he’s going to take a lot of catching we know that from every time he’s gone

And it’s Vanderpool who takes up the chase behind and he’s put himself in a difficult position because a lot of the others will now look and say you’re the favorite you’re the world champion you solve it but matcha F Paul has his teammate yaser Phillips are further in

The group he could say he’s riding for him and that could be it and Philips it in this group you would think is one of the if not the fastest there he is with number six on his back BET’s in here as well 131 is Maxim Hills who’s r a really

Good race to be there and A Philip stver Matthews and still out in the front though as they look around maybe playing the games here mic is looking around he realized he’s been caught one last effort perhaps approaching the final kilometer Soero Ando he does now and Soo is going Pitcock is chasing and mat Soo trying to become the most unlikely Sano winner in years the man from Bora hansra they came with a team that wasn’t really dedicated to this race they left most of their top Riders

Away but so has a gap he’s being chased though by pitock 700 M to go at the end of a pulsating Milano Sano last year’s winner is chasing them 500 me now to the conclusion of the race as they go past the famous Fountain it’s Tom pck up

Though that’s at the front chasing them down behind his match of on theol and pitock there after 6 hours 14 minutes of a race that’s set to be the fastest ever and pitock might pull this off there he is he’s done it on the Cross Field he’s

Done it at the Olympic Games in the mountain in biking he has that burst of power he’s trying to hold on to the end and he’s just got a couple of hundred meters to hang on big Cox there they launch the Sprint behind it’s St who’s burying himself and pickup’s going to be

Caught now Matthews makes the move it’s pson on the left hand side pson going all the way but Matthews is there patcha through the center it’s a crazy end of the race it’s Philips who has it yasper Phillips wins Milano Sano it’s the fastest race ever and The Classy Chi goes back to Belgium in the end Father Paul was decisive in the end all for Phillips a yasper Phillipson looks in the earpiece hell congratulations all round ma this s to have yasper Phillips wins a monument last week he started the transfer Rumor Mill suggesting his future might lay elsewhere but elsewhere he doesn’t have this support it was Pitcock away with

Soero and again it is Matthews who is oh so close today Pacha climbs onto the Sano Podium for the first time in his career but the winner comes from Ala the kerik the winner is yasper Phillips and one of cycling’s hottest properties takes his first ever Monument

    1. I love this race. Always unpredictable. Such a long distance and it comes down to the last few kilometers. Alpecin deserved it as they did the most work with Lidl-Trek. UAE didn't help them but failed at Cipressa and Poggio anyway.

    2. An awesome finish! You have to wonder if Matthews' glasses falling off caused enough of a distraction to just take the edge of his sprint for a second. Could've been the difference. They were so close!

    3. I think Pogacar not letting Pidcock go infront of him at the descent when they had a small gap was a critical error, he should've followed Toms wheel instead and they could've created a bigger gap and he can roll the dice at the line with his sprint

    4. This is getting hilarous the clear high octane of doping happing amongst the peloton. Pog in his doped glory almost ascents at record pace and still didnt manage to drop a bunch of 75kg+ sprinters. Hahahaha EPO firing

    5. Pidcock looks a kid when he is with Pogi and MDVP haha. What a race.
The greetings and sportmanship after an intense final sprint is a proof that these men has class. I love how they congratulate and hug each other.

    6. A gutsy ride is words used when a rider comes up short at the end. What no one seems to mention is that it was a gutsy performance yet again from the greatest sprinter in cycling. He actually, over a period of two years, went nose to nose with GOAT Sprinter Mark Cavendish (Bang bang finishes). He Took the throne. Who could forget le Tour 2021 when he was right there, only to have Cav win those 4 stages. There were at least 10 wins for Jasper like that over Cav. Along with as many close losses. No sprinter ever, not Kittel, not Greipel, no one ever matched up with Cav as many times. Like I said last May, Cav should've gone straight from the Colosseum in Rome into retirement. If you looked up Kittel and Cav le tour stages, you'd eventually find a couple times both were involved in the finish. Kittel should not even be mentioned in the same conversation with Cav. As a Manx Missile fan, I never gave up hope, but things are looking quite dim this year. Two years I've waited for Astana to actually ride as a team and it just seems too tall an order.
