One of the great things about Madison is that bike paths are all over the place and pretty great. There are bike trails almost throughout the entire city, with one of my personal favorites being the Lake Loop around beautiful Lake Monona. Another is the captivating Capital City Trail just to the south of Madison. It goes through Fitchburg and is a great trail.
For mountain biking enthusiasts, there are some awesome trails! A few are, Camrock in Cambridge, Blue Mound State Park, Quarry Ridge in Fitchburg, and Blackhawk in Middleton. These are all great mountain biking trails!

So one of the great things about Madison is that it’s all these bike paths all over the place and pretty great There’s bike trails pretty much throughout the entire city you know one of my favorites is the lake loop around Lake manona or hitting the capital city Trail just to the south of Madison going through Fitchburg is a great Trail over there or sometimes hitting uh mountain biking going out to CamRock Mountain
Cambridge or or Blue Mound State Park or Cory Ridge down in Fitchburg and Blackhawk over on the west side in Middleton so all those are great mountain bike trails so whether Road biking or mountain biking tons of biking in the city of Madison that’s for sure one of the best bike rides in
Madison is the lake loop it’s 12 miles right around Lake manona I’ve been doing it for years it’s a great ride you can hop on just about anywhere in Madison downtown or the East Side Monona and you know 12 miles it’s pretty reasonable amount do it an hour hour and a half
Something like that going too crazy and it’s a pretty great Ride Capital City trail goes right down through Fitchburg along the south side of uh Madison here and there’s places like this where you can stop and take a rest you can even come by pump up your tires check out the map even borrow the bcle so one of the great things too even
If you don’t have a bike you can borrow one you can rent them from the B cycle and these stations are just like this all over Madison and you you know there’s a little app for it you can do it by the day or by the month or however
Long you want to do it but these are ebikes they’re electric and so even if you’re not good at biking but want a little extra electric assist they’re pretty fun and pretty great and makes it real easy and accessible so another great Thing and they even got all these little little tra places to stop and take a rest so definitely a great thing to do in Madison when you get a Chance So the other thing that is awesome about biking and the biking culture in Madison is that there’s tons of bike shops like all around town behind me over here you keep riding on the lake Loop here around Lake Monona you’ll you’ll run right into Machinery rad bicycles one of the great bike shops
In Madison or you can head down closer to campus go down region Street you’ll hit budget bikes another great Bike Shop keep going around to manona you’re going to go to Slow Roll bicycles right on manona drive there great spot to get bikes um there’s just tons of great
Shops Eric bikes they got uh one on the east side one on the West Side Great selections there um track bikes are huge uh in the area as well cuz they’re based in waterl and so there’s tons of people that work in Waterloo but also live in
Madison and just uh bike shops track bikes as well is a great resource as well and if you head down south there’s a new bike shop at Oregon next to uh bod how little restaurant and bar there and it’s the Oregon Bike Shop really kind of a unique space overall there’s just tons
Of great spots great spots to buy bikes great spots to ride and throughout the city it’s just one of the one of the great things that makes Madison Great [Applause] [Applause] Oh oh
