The final stage of this year’s Tour de Suisse heads to Liechtenstein for a decisive race against the clock. At 25.4km in length and with only 133m of climbing, this is a course for the purists and one where the stronger time trialists could take back more than a minute on their GC rivals.

The final day of the tour de suisse this year was a 25.6 kilometer time trial around the streets of vaduz the capital of liechtenstein of course took the riders along the river rhine out to the time check after 12.9 kilometers and then a slightly hillier and headwind
Section back into the capital city valus itself mostly flat a couple of lumps and bumps are harder second part but if you have better legs the time to make up on the rest dinner for bala was the early pace set up he got the better of chad hager and
Led by 20 seconds for most of the day there was a disastrous moment near the finish for elon von wilder he was unable to finish the race a young man from quickstep alpha final being attended too by the medics remkoev nepal went out like a flash remko the rocket was flying
Stefan kung was threatening him and the intermediate time check was two seconds quicker than the young belgian king was looking to head up into the top five on the gc eve nepal even quicker over the second part of the course he absolutely destroyed the time that had been set by dinner from bala
104 85 quicker a 54 kilometer per hour average and the lead also going well on a brand new prototype disc brake bike was danny martinez kung also flying but by the time he got into the last couple of hundred meters it was clear he wasn’t going to break
The time set by even nepal king’s still looking for his first victory of 2022 despite showing the form of his career 10 seconds down kung climbing better than ever and heading up to a top five on gc and the gc battle was about to begin thomas two seconds behind igita fighting
For what would be a 10th stage race win in his pro career Ikita on paper the slower of the two-time trialists but fighting for his very life out there on the road it was clear at the time check he wasn’t going to hold on to the yellow jersey and there was a mechanical issue for nielsen paulus who’s ridden a great race
As part of a two-man team over the last few days for ef education easy post he’d conserve his fourth place overall jacob fullsang he’d stay third a solid time trial from him second successive year on the overall podium garrett thomas was going so well that he was thinking of even snatching the stage
Went away from remko have nepal the time was green as he turned into the final corner but around 25 meters from the line it turned to red even nepal would hang onto his win but gary thomas would become the first ever british winner of the tour de swiss
He’d also be the oldest since levi light homer the second oldest ever igita would ride a typically combative race holding on to second place just about stage victory in a world tour time trial for the first time in the career of renko even a pool three seconds the margin of a victory
Over garrett thomas king in third place on the day martinez looking great ahead of the tour de france with bob jungles having a bit of a renaissance and finishing fifth as well the overall win going to garrett thomas hormondy winner last year swiss winner this year both swiss top level stage
Races now on his palmares that’s looking richer by the year thomas in some of the best form of his life are looking great with a one-minute 12 win heading into the tour de france so third place going to jakob fulson he’s promised to come back and have
Another crack at the tour de suisse second to ikito with borah looking good thomas on the top adigita taking the white jersey as the best young glider quinn simmons was the king of the mountains and michael matthews the points jersey winner a very comfortable margin of victory for
The man from canberra in australia it’s been quite the dramatic tour de swiss wonderful backdrops tremendous weather for the explosion of covered positives sending a worry in a shock wave through the peloton garrett thomas with a 25th career victory on the road one of the best ever for him
Winner of the tour de swedes at 36 years of age the second oldest ever the first brit to win

Is Remco the most aero guy ever?
Give Küng a damn win
Really impressed with Higuita's effort to save a 2nd in GC. Didn't expect that. The rest fairly predictable. If Küng pipped Evenepoel or Thomas by a couple of seconds, it would have been controversial though, because he clearly stole at least 2 seconds on the start ramp. Maybe a starting gate like in horse racing can sort that problem out 🤔
Why are South Americans on average pretty weak in time trial? I see this is a recurring theme.
Awesome win for G. Wishing him a great TDF placing
Disappointment with Powless mechanical issue but I don't think it made a difference in his overall standings. Great 4th place finish.
Brilliant for him.One never can tell if he is going to fall off at the start or complete the race or nearly complete the race then fall off.Compulsive viewing.
Today hot like hell fans
Even after decades of watching pro bike races, I'm still astounded by the speeds the pros average in individual time trials, regardless of length. I was an amateur racer for over 25 years, and was a multi-time TT champ of the state of Florida in the US back in the 1990's, and even the "slow" pros would have kicked my ass. I don't remember averaging more than 48kph in any TT I ever did, even with aero bars, wheels and helmet.
Thomas! 👍👍👍🇬🇧🐕
Surprising to see Thomas in such great shape but it may not be enough to get on the podium at the TdF
Nice showings by the Americans! Powless with a 4th place and Simmons with the KOM. Impressive for a 2-man team at the end
What’s up with the last two big US guys having mechanical in the TT. Bob and now Neil
Tour de France 2022
1 Pogacar
2 Roglic
3 Thomas
Bora 3 guys in the top 10 and Vlasov would have maybe won if he hadn‘t gotten covid
Hot take. Thomas will win tdf
A new TT bike for Ineos Grenadiers?
What happened to Remco in this race?
54km/h for 28m26s. What is the AVG Power?
Nice one G
Yup, this is why I love cycling
Glad to see Thomas, Jungels, Fulsang.. this generation of riders still in top spots of the tours
Thomas is in great form
Wow! Thomas is so much taller than Evenepool. 😲
Ramco's tiny package packs a lot of power!
Good coverage but don’t say things like “ fighting for his very life”. These guys are riding bikes not in a gun fight or taking Chemo for cancer. Not a fight for life
Zero exposition or analysis and the most boring pace of an announcer ever. How does the Tour de Suisse give GCN the highlights when so many other cycling YouTube commentators actually want to cover the race with depth and passion?
Great effort from G 👏🏻 Trouble is (for his TdF hopes), Pog and Rog are looking scarily good at the moment…
I still cannot believe racing is over until the TDF – what am I going to do with myself until 1 July?
I know that when I see Thomas 3 seconds off Remco he won the race, but STOP GIVING EVERYTHING AWAY. Or call this a recap and not highlights.
Большая протяженность🤔
👍👍👍
