Hello everybody my name maximilian and the first of all i want to apologize about my english because i have studied my english at home by myself i do not have high education something like this so i’m i’m really sorry about my english and now i would like to tell our short

Story how we escaped from ukraine from ukraine war ok let’s start from the beginning it was just a simple day i remember it was 24 of february and i usually i usually used to wake up at six or seven a.m to go jogging and that day on 24 of february

I woke up at 6 00 yeah at 6 00 am and i just checked news about about the whole last news in ukraine after that i’m decided to take one hour more to sleep and at 7 00 am when i woke up i saw the fresh news from our ukraine websites that

Russia and russian military forces invaded ukraine i’m still remembered this day it was really unexpectable i’ll just woke up and awake my partner and we decided to park our whole necessary items clothes and after that we just jumped on our bicycles and gone to the nearest border because

We lived in the small town near slovakia borders and i still i still cannot imagine how it happened but we crossed the border who escaped from ukraine the main thing what to remember that when we crossed border with slovakia maybe in one or two hours after when he when we have crossed borders

Ukraine proclaimed to close all borders in case of war and ukraine ukraine government proclaimed to close all borders to not to let go outside of ukraine all men’s from 18 to 60 years the first what i want to say just to how to say it the first what i want to

Say to people who would like to blame me to say that i’m sucker or i don’t have balls yes you’re right we really scared of war we do not want to fight anyone and we do not want to die because both of us were under mobilization age and the second thing that

We are couple yes i am 24 and my partner vlad he is only 19 years say hello and i really decided to escape from ukraine so if somebody want to blame us it’s up to you but i want to say that yes we scared of why we do not want to fight

So now let’s return to my story when we cross the borders with slovakia we started to knock to every door to ask for any help because it was so cold it was cold morning with a huge fog and we were fully got um we were wet but fully wet so one

It was a small small not town but like small village and one priest helped us he gave us the shelter at his church so after that when the priest gave us a shelter the next day we started to go to the next biggest city in slovakia the city name was kosciutz foreign

In this in that city we found another shelter where i just wrote i just started to wrote messages to different couch surfers in couchsurfing app and one of those couchsurfers gave us a shelter in that city video released and after that how i remember it was midnight it was midnight and

I felt myself like what what we are doing here who we are we have no future and we have no way back about to no way back to ukraine i will tell you later in a few minutes so and i decided to try to go to austria because how i heard from

Different sources the austria is more friendly to lgbt people because we are couple with vladislav and this is the main reason the second reason after war why we decided to go especially to austria because unfortunately unfortunately we we do not want to return back to ukraine because in ukraine a lot of people

A lot of people blamed us blamed us about our our relation for example our parents grow in soviet union and when we talked to our parents that we are couple our parents refused from us and we moved to a small one-room flat which we rent which we rented in ukraine

And in this flat we were together just working on the different jobs and thinking about better future something like this so and um unfortunately that happened that how to explain it we have no we have no reason to return to ukraine in the future because our parents refused from us

A lot of people refused and blamed us about our relation i don’t know how to say it because we know to use said in ukraine and for example okay about me it’s okay i’m bulky but about vlad he for example was attacked few times at the city park with with rednecks you know

Because of his orientation people tried to attack him and it was not only one time it was a few times and the second thing about me because i were a fitness coach in ukraine and a lot of people didn’t understood me than when i told them about me and vlad so now let’s

Return to the story so when we were at this big city in slovakia named kosciutz we decided to go to austria and the main thing what we had to do was to reach the capital of slovakia bratislava and after that in bratislava to take a train to vienna the capital of austria so

We decided we decided to try because anyway we had nothing we had nothing in the future and nothing no reasons back to ukraine so we decided to go to bratislava we took our bicycles and at first day we did maybe 150 or 160 kilometers or more and again we just asked

Old lady to give us a shelter at her old house i do not remember the name of that small village and when we got rested uh the next day we did maybe more than 240 or 250 kilometers by bicycle to catch the last train to vienna and in vienna

The same story i asked a lot of coach surfers in vienna to give us a shelter and only one his name is martin right now he is like a godfather for us he not only gave us a shelter but right now at this moment we are really close friends because

I were a fitness coach in ukraine and i wore a really popular popular person in our small town and a lot of people know about me so sorry sometimes i’m changing my hands when it get tired so and where i stopped yes and uh how about marty

I wrote him a message about us that we’re a couple we are escaping from ukraine we’re seeking for any kind of shelter and martin gave us a shelter and after that when i showed him my video with my transformation he was really impressed and motivated by me

And he asked me to help him to transformate his body and from this day we are staying for two weeks here in vienna i i’m like a personal uh fitness coach of uh i like a martin’s personal fitness coach yes and i teach him still teaching him how to jog how to do

Any exercises uh help her it will be some videos of this exercises and now i want to say that um i still i still do not know how to explain this that right now we have no home all our memories from ukraine were erased here martin helped us to get this

Special refugee status something like this and now how understood we can stay in austria for one year we can find work and in the future it will be possible to extend this time of staying in austria because we really want to we really want to became austria

Citizens we really want to become part of europe because it was so so unusual so hard for us to stay in our small town because our town was surrounded by mountains with a lot of villagers and a lot of these people from this villages were i’m so sorry that i’m talking about them

So but i’m i’m telling truth how i saw it and a lot of those people were like redneck who really disrespect everybody animals nature these people used to litter around themselves here some photos of our town i’m do not want to say the name of our town because i do

Not want to blame my town i know a lot of good people but i’m just showing you where we were and it was really inconvenient for us because we really dreamed for better future for example i worked as a fitness coach maybe for 200 to 200 and a half euros

Per month and vladislav vlad he worked as a confectioner but he walked illegally illegally because the owner of the restaurant was really greedy person and he didn’t used to pay additional taxes for his employers and vlad vlad walked illegally at the kitchen at the kitchen of restaurants and it was not only one

Time it was more times when vlad worked at any different restaurants and every time he were illegal not legal and still changing my hands pardon about this it’s really tight and um i’m i was really sad that one time when we decided to find the work outside of ukraine we asked our ukraine

Agency to help us to find work and they found work for us in czech republic and they told us that everything will be legal we will get all papers but they tricked us and we appeared in czech republic in small city named bruno i i think it’s not important but we appeared like

Illegal workers and we slept with three or four moldovans in one small room and we use and we walked for 12 hours a day from monday to saturday and when i saw vlad how he how how he did a lot of those bricks uh this work with bricks by his hands by

I’m sorry by his hands with that hands with which he did all of his things creating some talking about his works you know bakery patisserie i will show you the list of those things i’m really sorry i do not know how to say it in english because i

I just studied english at home by myself so and i i was really sad when i saw him at those buildings constructions because i really dreamed for him a better life his dream was just to became a famous confectioner because he is really like he’s so awesome

In this and i really want to give him a better future because we both of us born in poor families in ukraine and unfortunately we get nothing in our country so we really want to start up a new life from how to say it from empty blank empty paper you know how

What i’m talking about yes and i really want better life for us and right now we didn’t really how to explain it i actually can still explain this feeling because for example when we cross the borders we got we took no money with us only ukrainian currency but nobody needs

Ukrainian currency in europe no exchanges because when ukraine proclaimed the war situation in their country all nearest countries refused to exchange ukrainian currency and we were with zero money and that priest in a small town he gave us a 65 euros and he was a really

Kind person i promise to him that in the future i will return back to him and as a guest just to to meet with him so now i would like to show you our flat here’s a guest room it’s really spacious awesome it’s our big family table but we only

Three person in this flat it’s my tablet here’s my uh here this martin plan i wrote uh plan with exercises and with diet for martin martin really happy this is my book i’m started to study german because german is important if you want to become a ukraine’s

Pardon if you want to became an austrian citizen in the future you have you must to study german but it’s really interesting so here’s our small kitchen it’s small but really cozy and the last thing what i want to show you so there’s mountain room and there is a pattern and

There is our small room so what is love sleeping here and um here that’s our small room small but cozy and i’m still really happy that martin help us with everything what you can observe in this room and the second thing what i want to say we promised to martin that

In the future when we finally will be able to get our first jobs because right now we just like refugees and government do not want do not know what to do with us and we’re still waiting for our how to say it right now we restricted to get jobs and

We’re waiting for this when the government will let us to find any kind of job and i promise to march in there when we will be able to earn money to work we will split the taxes and the rent money for this flat because smart it’s not martin fled he rent this flat

And we promised to him that we will split all of this taxes together because we do not want to be refugees for the whole life we we really do not need this money we do not want to stay at home to do nothing we want to do

Something we want to find the job we want to make our future our own future so at that moment i think it will be enough for the first video so i hope everything will be alright and we will see we will see what will happen with us in the future

But i really hope i will do everything to become australian citizens in the future i really i really want to do this bye
